Real men don't cry over a graze or a bump. Not even over broken bones (that's more of an 'oh, fu...' or 'screaming in agony' moment). A real man aims to cope as much as he can by himself, to carry his weight and not burden others. However, he shouldn't refuse the help of others if he needs it, whether that's physical or emotional.

I think the only men that never cry are the sortof hypermacho types. You can be strong and emotional at the same time. In fact I believe that it can often take more courage to show emotion than to bottle it up. I'm sure most of history's "real men" shed a tear when the situation was appropriate.

In my defence it was rather sad...
If someone deleted your save game, then that is perfectly justified. Otherwise... no.

Fuck that. If I'm in a situation where I'm likely to cry, that means people around me are likely to do the same. They need someone to be a rock at that point, someone to hold shit together when it's falling apart. Crying doesn't bring them back, take you out of the situation, fix the problem or help anyone. The time you spend being irrational is time that you could be using to sort the damn problem out, or at least helping others to get out that mood.

Too much damn negativity in this world without me adding to it by moping.

F*ck that stereotype. I'll cry when I need to, regardless of the situation. Excessive crying isn't manly but I think we should try to kill this idea that men aren't allowed to let their emotions come out through tears.

You're not alone. My master save file when I was fourteen was erased when the powercable was nudged by my dog. I had every single pokemon I cared about on that file. I cried.

Lord of the Rings, Theoden, King of Rohan. Manliest man in Middle Earth besides Aragorn and he openly wept for nearly a minute.

It was pokemon MD2.
Grovyle sacrifces himself to take Dusknoir back to the future so you and your friend can go and save temporal tower from collapsing thus causing a bleak future to occur. The future where Grovyle, you and Dusknoir come from.

yeah, it's perfectly okay. Saying that though I pretty much never have the need to cry. BUt I guess it doesn't change anything.

Even the most manly men need to shed a tear, then go kill something 5 times the size as he.

*sighs* a "man" is a reference to gender and age, it has nothing to do with ones emotional status. if you insist on refering to body building, mustache clad, emotionally locked guys as "real men" then go ahead! just be prepared to be scoffed at by me! "real man" is just a stupid steriotype, however you define him. all people are different, end of

I'm a MAN! A Manly MAN! A Man that likes to watch the 49'ers on Sunday, go hiking, camping, and fishing. I love Chicken wings, Pizza, and women!!! When I walk into the woods and a angry bear challenges me I kick it's ass with nothing more than my hands! I go to the shooting range and blast bulls-eyes through the cardboard targets while riding a monster-truck through a flaming hoop!!!

Getting all that out of the way, I do cry when the world seems all dark and scary, crying is nothing to be ashamed of and it really helps you work things out...

Yay! More fluff!

Someone should start a thread titled "the final solution is the only solution: do you agree?" but make the content about ninja turtles.

imagine how many responses THAT will get!

I would say that if someone is in a situation where there is enough emotional turmoil they feel it necessary to cry, they shouldn't be thought of any less. It's a natural, biological function that can't really be controlled.

That said, excessive and flamboyant displays of emotion tend to grate on me. People, men or women, that burst into tears at the slightest provocation or anything else just annoy the shit out of me.
