Illusion is no mere stage magic. Illusion is ultimate control and domination. Illusion is the ability to force the mind and body to see and feel whatever you want. Illusion can force a person to suffer as if burning alive, forever. Illusion can show someone haunting images from their past, or of their fears of the future, and you don't even need to know what it is.

Also you're missing one. My favorite: Meta-magic. Meta-magic is the manipulation of magic itself. It can work with or against other magic-users. Metas can make a spell bigger, or negate it entirely, or change it into something else. For example, a Destructor could make something blow up by igniting it, while a Meta makes something blow up by turning its energy into fire. Metas can also attack the very essence of a being.

Meta-magic... I've thought about something like this. Like the person has no magic themselves but if another person is using magic then they can usurp the spell and take control of it? Very good choice. Maybe they could absorb the magic themselves and become stronger, if only temporarily.Or are you going along the lines of every thing is made up of energy, and a meta-mage can control and release this energy?

If you control the tools to alter perception you control the tools to alter reality.
As soon as you may alter reality to your will you are a God.

The only failing of this school of magic the users own perspective, fooling your own mind is the fastest way to destroy yourself.
Letting another see the truth is the fastest way to lose your power.

It's also worth mentioning Illusion is the only school of magic here that could be used in every day society without dramatic repercussions.
The only limits to an illusionists power are their intellect and wit.

I'd probably pick elementalism, although if shape-shifting was an option then I might consider that.

OT: Just as a random observation, I'm a little bit surprised that so few people have opted for restoration. I would have thought that the powers to aid people would be quite important.

That said, I myself opted for glidey-firey-icey-earthquaky coolness, so I can't really talk. :S

because I'm watching fullmetal alchemist right now, you forgot alchemy, the ability to change any one thing into something else, with slight limitations.
I would probably go into teleportation or telekinesis, because hitting someone you're talking to in the back of the head with a brick without breaking eye contact sounds fun, but so does being able to play pranks or do things I shouldn't and escape without any consequences... hmm, hard choice.

In my opinion it's god-modding.
It really is.
If you claim everything is energy then you can consume yourself in the process of powering a machine, like - shall we say - a computer.
I really don't understand it.

Ah damn, this is a friggin hard choice! 0.0 I think I would find Elementalism very entertaining but only until I actually set someone on fire. I wouldnt find it so great then.

Telekenises is very tempting, but I think its really between Restoration and Teleportation. Restoration I would no doubt get the best use out of, and its got to be so rewarding to be able to fix people's injuries. So its likely to be that.
But teleportation... can you imagine the possibilities? I mean, if I properly became a master at it? You'd never be able to lay a finger on me if I didnt want you to! I could scare the crap out of anyone (which I'd never get tired of)! I could warp across the globe in an instant!

Yeah I cant choose between them two. Can I master in restoration but with some practice in teleportation? =)

Teleportation.

All the zombies in the world won't help you if I just teleport them on top of your head. And although I am a big fan of the classic fireball, being able to travel vast distances without the hassle of walking is very appealing to a lazy bum like me.

Hive Magic; converting your body into a living hive for any type of insect creature, they literally compose and form your body, someone hits you? you burst apart into BEEEEEESS!!!!

Telekinesis for this reason: It gives me the power to manipulate objects without physically handling them and enabling them to be used in whatever way I desire, and has the added bonus that I don't have to worry about middle-man minions. I prefer micromanaging. I have a problem with trusting others with little tidbits like that.

I would deff go with necromancy. But, rather than the whole creating an undead army stuff, i would mostly use it along the lines of the older definition, raising spirits for scrying purposes, binding and banishing such spirits, and never forget curses!
