why not have a single player campaign and a multiplayer campaign so if you want to play by yourself you can and if you want to play with a friend you are able to. i dont see what the big deal is with having multiplayer, if its both a single and a multiplayer game then it would please both sides of the players. its not like you have to play multiplayer.

I can see 2 great co-op modes right now... a split-screen co-op with a shared save point, and in the single player, an occasional "one-night stand" mission where players hook up online.

Oh, and maybe throw in a factions war multiplayer mode.

No, because they'd be focusing on getting the multiplayer working as well as the single player, and either one of them would be crap really. I'd like co-op but it's not going to happen

i think that they should of had a borderlands type of multiplayer like campaign but with 1-3 other people and there could either be no vats or like a partner vats where one player activates it and the other would have to agree and they could do like a back to back from army of two comment back lpz for any questions or comments PLZ!!!

a FPS style multiplayer = bad idea

now a split screen co-op could work if it came up with a good way to handle VATS. Like making only the screen of the person that entered VATS pause but the other persons keep going like normal could work.

But I don't know if I'd like multiplayer in Fallout (Elder Scrolls would be a better choice) because you're kind of supposed to be alone in the wasteland except for maybe a companion who has the mentality of an 8 year old. To me it'd be like what resident evil did to ruin RE5 by giving you Sheva.

Hell, I don't see New Vegas woring in a multiplayer game. It can hardly run singleplayer as it is.

OT: Maybe in a few years when someone prys the Fallout franchise from Bethesda's cold, unyielding hands.
Seriously, Bethesda needs to wise up and realise that the Gamebryo engine is an unresponsive, outdated and buggy piece of crap.
