Should it? No, it's for all intents and purposes a "Help me I'm going to die alot" perk. And I think that perks should reward skill and playstyle and not sucking and dieing alot like it does.

Even the CoD:WaW method sucks because the resetting fuse on picking up the nade means you essentially give a free grenade out.

It shouldn't be in MW2, but I'm not gonna have a cow if it is.

Personally I find the perk annoying in hardcore matches (mostly when an ally grenade kills you), but not so much in core.
I say leave it out of HC but keep it in core.
I don't mind ally grenades killing me in Hardcore matches, cause I always just laugh and think, what an idiot for having Martyrdom on HC, you just lost yourself points because of your idiocy.

im not bothered by the martydom perk and i uest it when i wasint realy good at the game to get some extra kills to help me get new unlocks and levels.Now, i dont use it becaues im a skilled player enough to play on hardcore mode and getting 60 kills in one game.

Now i get mildly anoyed by martydom when im on a ten kill streak and i get killed by a marty.
i also hate the servers who ban some of the perks or weapons becaues they are baning some parts of the game.




But i thnk that its best not to have martydom in Search&Destroy.

I play almost entirely Hardcore Mode, so I'm in the definitely remove the bastard perk camp. At long range it's fine, it's at medium or close range (especially when you're stationary) that it's horrible. Every single kill requires you to remain pinned down in your spot or risk getting splattered.

At least give us the grenade indicator. So many times I've heard the grenade and due to the fact that it's near invisible I have dived out the way and instead dived ONTO the grenade. Infuriating.

Last Stand could maybe do with a nerf as well. In hardcore it can be a one hit kill and if I'm shooting at the other player as I die I'm almost guaranteed to get the last stand shot off before he has a chance to react. In normal mode it's a bit weaker, and a good punishment for people not paying attention to the guy they've just shot.

The "everyone uses it" is a self-selecting argument. The good players, the ones that bring different perks, do not die nearly as often.

I'm happy to keep it purely for the anti-teabagging value.

That's true it's also better when they get kicked for it. :D
Speaking of which I really hope they keep that addition for MW2.

It probably shouldn't be,so there's less whining. But i can't be arsed to deeply think about pluses and minuses.

Or alternatively,it SHOULD be included as anti-teabagger countermeasure.

No offense, but if you get killed by a grenade dropped by the same guy you killed, you deserve to get fragged. And a grenade warning pops up on screen, for crying out loud.

It's a stupid perk really, the user CANNOT apply any skill or method to it. It's just dying and then HOPING that someone gets killed. But if they did include it I wouldn't be whining. It's not intolerable.

Y'know, in all honestly I'd rather see Stopping Power and Juggernaut go away, they cancel each other out

And I don't want to hear bitching about "Cheap" and "Broken" about Marties before I hear anybody saying "Yeah, leave the Barret out" Or questioning how you mount an M203 on a G3, M14, or a G36C. Especially the last one. The thing's only slightly larger than an MP5 y'know.

I disagree. While the average gamer may spend his time grinding to get his unlocks, there are also people, like me, who like getting little gifts for playing the game. All the perks I have were unlocked by playing the game and not farming. Plus, I believe that the removal of perks would make MW2 kinda boring.

Oh and I like the Martyrdom, it represents one of my favorite sayings: "I die, but I take all you fuckers with me to hell!"

i honestly don't even know why this is an issue for anyone. After one time of being killed by this perk you think that would be enough to learn DONT STAND NEAR DEAD PEOPLE

you should be more accurate and just say "i'm a noob who gets killed by the Martyr Perk"

Needs to not indicate on my screen when a teammate next to me dies with martydom. I am sick to death of running from cover only to find its a grenade that won't kill me, and get shot dodging it.

Course it should be added, its a good perk, no it is not a "noob" perk as much as those that are stupid enough not to use their goddamn legs to run their ass out of their, Hardcore is the exception though for obvious team kill reasons.

People complain about it allot but you know what? if you were in cover and weren't running into the face of the enemy Rambo style then it wouldn't be happening to you.

its a bad stupid kill as much as being shot normally, you occupy the space my bullet is in, your dead, occupy the space my grenade shrapnel is in, you dead. How to solve this? dont occupy the damn space my sharpnel and bullets are in.

I'm not really much into CoD online anyway, but it doesn't take a genius to see that there is some balance issues with that one little Martydom perk. If Infinity Ward wants people to stop bitching about this perk then they should make it more balanced. If not, people will still *****. In multiplayer, you want it to be balanced and fair, so where does this magical extra grenade come in your inventory when you've already used all 3 of your 'nades?

I'm just providing a little insight on how Martydom can be more "fair" so people can stop complaining, nothing more nothing less. If it's "just a game" then why are we in a gaming forum designed to dicuss these very games?
