smoking is a disgusting habit, its killed off too many of my family members already and i'm stuck watching as it slowly kills off another.
Personally i'll never ever try smoking, and find it a pathetic habit. Especially since most people who smoke that i speak to regret ever trying it, and hate the taste. Yet cannot get themselves to quit.

I gotta say, for most people it's totally uncool. You see them standing outside in the cold, shivering in the rain because they need a fag and you PITY THEM. Also you see the punk ass kids on street corners smoking to impress their mates? Also about as far from cool as you can get.
But every now and then, you come across some total Badass, the kind who is so hardcore he could sew his own face up with rope if he had to. And somehow he manages to make Smoking look good.

Smoking is cool when you are 12 and all your friends are doing it but its NOT actually cool. You just think it is.
I ain't gonna lie, I am a smoker. Ok, I only smoke about 10 a day (thats a bad day too) and they are only roll ups (not nearly as bad for you as pre-rolled but still pretty damn bad) I don't smoke because I think it makes me look cool or because it think it gives me sex appeal or any shit like that because I know that it doesn't(and I've met people who do and its almost depressing) . Truth be-told... I enjoy smoking. I love the feeling of tension draining away as I puff that first smoke in the morning and the joy as I drive around my in my beat up old car, having a smoke and listening to some good music. It's just such a good feeling. I will admit that I am the only one of my friends who smokes and I hugely discourage them from taking it up but you only live once so you might as well say something generic.

Cigarettes are like beer. A lot of people don't think they taste good, but other people do it and they seem fine so you end up convincing yourself that you like the taste and then you're hooked.Booze Zombie said:

No it's not cool, but that doesn't change the fact that as I sit here writing this I have a cigarette hanging out of the corner of my mouth. I know I'm a hypocrite but I made this decision myself nobody forced the damn things on me.
Entirely dependent on who is smoking.
If I see an unhappy/unhealthy person smoking, I think they are likely to have a lot of problems, and are smoking just to make it through their sad lives.
If I see a young kid smoking, I mostly want to hit him for trying to look cool.
A happy fellow, anybody walking along smiling and smoking and having a good time, I think isnt necesarily cool, but it gives off a fun loving carefree vibe that is. Good looking person acting like this does = cool.
A pretty girl smoking is just about the hottest thing a girl can do with her clothes on for me.
But really alot of you guys need to stop being so whiney, it's very uncool and you are bringing down the mood, just get on with your happy healthy lives and stop giving a fuck about nothing.
PS. perhaps a little insensitive, but how many of you actually shed a tear for your grandparents dying? I cant imagine I will, not that i dont think he's a cool guy, just that he isnt an integral part of my family system, and it does not affect me. The grandparents dying thing gets thrown around like mad, but it doesnt really mean much to me.

I'm really not sure. I think it's because I think all smokers have started smoking because they can't be assed to deal with a problem. Like, drinking your problems away... but smoking to fool themselves that they feel alright.chronobreak said:
