Well, it depends on the situation, I guess. The way I see it:

Steampunk, to me, seems more "positive" - adventurous and ineventive and optimistic.

Cyberpunk, on the other hand - cynical, gritty, dark and depressing.

So, most of the time, I'd opt for Steampunk. So that's what I voted.

Oh. Why didn't I think of that? I still have to go with Steampunk for one reason: the steampunk planet (seriously, the enemies are even called Steambots) Elysia in Metroid Prime 3. I love that place so much.

Steampunk. I love sci fi, androids, and all that other cool shit and all, but steampunk is just more interesting. Well that and one of my favorite RPG's ever made had a great steampunk setting.

Plus the use of brass and wood reminds me of WH40K.
