They should, then crash and burn. Mexico will then take Texas, resulting in a War between US and Mexico. In the camotion, I will lead the mighty Russian tank armies on Alska and Cananda.

So, Yes.
Why attack Canada? We'll join you. Just give me advance notice to round up the attack beavers and the polar bear corps.

didnt they make it illegal to secede back in the 1860's?

The Republican Party should dissolve and form Jesusland with the seceded states.
The Libertarian and Socialist parties should become major contenders with the Democrats in place of the Republicans.
Funny since a lot of people worship obama as our second messiah.

Eh, I don't really care. It could cause a change in gas prices, and cock things up in the economy.

But I'm from Canada. The only thing I worry about is Quebec attempting to separate.
Sorry for the derail, but it isn't going to happen, not unless there's a major screw-up by the federal government somewhere, the golden days of QC nationalism are over :p

To a certain extent i guess the same could be said for the US governement, unless they do a very major screw-up, i don't think any state will separate...

Wow, I can't believe that anyone nowadays could even say anything about seceding from the Union and actually be serious. This isn't the 1800s anymore. All of the states are waaaay to dependent on each other and the federal government to actually ever even consider something like secession.

Like... how would that even happen? I just don't understand.

Yeah, I'm from Texas, and I know that the sane population of the state greatly outweighs the insane. Sure Texas is a Republican state, but we're not idiots (and more likely than not, a bunch of people including me are going to leave if that actually happens.)

The guy in the video, standing in front of the Alamo:
"Everybody's always heard 'draw a line in the sand'; this is where it happened. They drew a line in the sand and said, 'enough is enough!'"
This guy is talking about a massacre site of a war fought over the annexation of Texas.

I have only one thing to say to that:

But without Texas where will we get our oil, steak and Metroid Prime games?
Metroid Prime? I retract my vote. Invade those rebellious scum!

But seriously, this will never happen. Unless it does, and I lose hope in all humanity.
