Every single costume in the Batman films, with the exception of Scarecrow and The Joker have always been awful in my opinion.

Batman himself has the worst costume, in every single adaptation. At least Cat Woman's costume didn't apparently cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to design and create.

I KNOW, RIGHT?!

Seriously, Anne Hathaway as the Catwoman has me driving up the walls. I am less inclined to see the movie because of her and Bane (out of all the villains you could pick, you went for the steroid one).

I meant name-wise. Catwoman is a silly name but Batman is perfectly reasonable?
Oh, sorry.

Yes, Batman has a better sound than Catwomen. Out of all the animal related super hero names (if can call Batman a super hero), that's the one that sounds the least silly. Even though I do prefer Spiderman.

You know what would be hilarious? Batman acting like a bat.
*sigh*

Batman uses wings to glide, the vision for infiltration, and what not. I can tolerate that. Yes, calling everything the bat*whatever* is a bit much but I can handle it.

What is Catwomen going to use/have? I'm serious, I don't know.

Its Anne Hathaway in a skin tight catsuit.

I had no idea that was her.....

It looks fine, the style is supposed to be grounded and alot less cartoony.

I like the costume, I kind of wish she had boots or sneakers though, other wise it's not as much of a fetish as so many Catwoman incarnations. Sexy, but she overall looks like a nun compared to the usual Catwoman. The material looks thick and durable, her breasts aren't individually wrapped, & she has a belt to hold all kinds of gadgets instead of hiding it in invisible pockets somewhere.

Also, Anne Hathaway I think was picked on purpose for all the reasons people think she can't fit Catwoman's role. She isn't known as a very sexual actress, she's usually in chick flicks and drama movies. She comes off as a good, clean girl, not a bad girl image that Catwoman is associated with. Nolan probably wants to pull Catwoman away from being super sexual and behaving like crazy cat. I think Anne Hathaway can pull off a very unique and different Catwoman than what everyone has become accustomed to. I'm very excited to see what she does with the role.

Thanks GOD, an appropriate thread to ask this in! Why is she called Catwoman?
Actually, Nolan said they will never refer to her as Catwoman in the new movie. She's just a lady in a catsuit looking hot and doing naughty things.

Leaving her hair down is just completely jarring for me. It would get in the way all of time. That and the high heels, the lipstick and those silly goggles.

It's really not that bad. The long free flowing hair and high heals are weird, especially as these films are meant to be more realistic but it really dosen't look as bad as people are saying. I would say it looks perfect because it works for this film.

Got to remember its incredibly rare that a super hero will be translated to film and not look a bit odd. They where all designed for a visual style nothing like the real world making them look odd in a real setting.

I do think she looks good anyway (and Bane for that matter), they don't look completely realistic or serious but they aren't supposed to.

I also think this is one of the few super heroes that has actually pulled off the full body skin-tight black leather, the others being:

I don't think it looks completely stupid, at least HER costume doesn't remind me of Goatse every time I see it.

Looking at you Bane..
CANNOT UN SEE!!!

Anyway. I actually like her costume a lot. I might go out on a limb and say it's my favorite Catwoman costume.
My only problem is the headgear. You can see her whole face. It's an unbecoming look for an art thief.

I hope that in the context of the movie everyone know who Catwoman is and they just can't touch her for some political reason or what ever because her hair, her lips, her entire face it's all out there. it reminds me of

"Just because I can't see your cheek bones doesn't mean I don't recognize you.

Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to compare those two movies. But Catwoman needs a full mask
Going to bet that she's running with the ideology that if she gets seen then she feels she deserves to get caught. Would make sense for a clear thrill seeker prior to Bane showing up and shaking the system. The goggles probably do something akin to Batman's sonar which is why she would bother in the first place.

Seriously, Anne Hathaway as the Catwoman has me driving up the walls. I am less inclined to see the movie because of her and Bane (out of all the villains you could pick, you went for the steroid one).
How many poorly acted characters have there been in the first two installments of this trilogy? If you can name any I bet it'll be few enough to count on a couple of fingers, and most of those will be random unimportant goons. If she's in the movie then it's because she demonstrated genuine talent for how Nolan envisioned the role, so stop assuming she's bad because you've only seen her in chick flicks.

I liked the new Batman suit it's the best looking suit in a movie, no bat nipples and way better then that black rubber in the early movies that kept the actor from even turning his head.

The only thing I dislike about the suit is the mask, it looks like something you'd grab at a dollar store for Halloween but I'm willing to live with the mask sense the rest of the outfit is good.
Oh, don't mind me, I hate everything, well that's what people say anyway, I will agree that the costume this time around looks better and it actually looks like he can move but I really hate that mask, I'm still not sure why but that mask looks awful.

The entire point of the Nolan films is reimagining Batman in a slightly more grounded way, so his costume works.

Im not saying its better than the comic look, but for his movies, the designs are better. Besides those Cat ears that Catwoman is wearing in Rises? Theyre actually her goggles when she takes them off.

Honestly the costumes look fine to me, they work for what theyre set in, and in all honesty, you can never really make a live action super hero film without the costume looking a little silly
Ok, I'd buy that if 2Face hadn't looked so stupid.
I mean I like the idea of burning instead of acid, but the execution considering this was supposed to be a realistic take on Batman looks more than silly, if we're going for the realistic defence then he shouldn't be able to talk!
But that's just me, I think I get a little bit too nitpicky with the costumes.

She is supposed to be... Catwoman. And apparently the only part of animals that they use are the ears, thus the ears on Batman and Catwoman... and to a lesser degree Penguin, because we didnt really get a good look at his ears as is the same with penguins.

How dare you!

Harvey Dent was easily the most compelling villain any Batman film has ever had! You scoundrel! You fiend!

Oh, I do think Two Face is one of the best Batman villains, and I did like Aaron Eckhart as Two Face but the way he looked was stupid.

... I have no problem with Halle Berry's costume...

Don't all the Batman costumes look a little silly? I know Nolans' trying real hard to make Batman gritty and realistic, but something about Batmans' costume is just inherently goofy to me. Even the Joker, as well acted as he was, is pretty over the top. Bane and Catwoman fall into the same category, but no more so than the others.

On the other hand, I really liked what they did with Scarecrow.

The design isn't bad it's just boring. She kind of looks like she should be in a Bond film rather than Batman.
