Aliens aren't very plausiable. If war was to be fought on earth soil then they would be fucked. The russians would soak up anything the aliens shoot, china would be busy corrupting alien generals, and the u.s would be pulling out a can of kick-ass military and moral might.
A.I. Are you kidding me? The man made the computer, the computer didn't make the man.
Viral Outbreak? Plausible. It would probably kill more humans then it enslaves, but that would probably be the thing most likely to put a nail in our coffin.
A new world order? Are you kidding me? I can't agree with the people in my community half the time, how the fuck do you think countries are going to agree in joining together after we have been killing each other for millenniums?
Religious order? More and more people are casting aside religion in this new age of information.

In all seriousness, there is so little chance of intelligent, space faring life ANYWHERE in the universe, so no chance of aliens.
Viruses would not enslave, although it could result in a new world order (one specific group develops a consistant immunity, enslaves all other random survivors).
People won't agree very well, so new world order/religion is very unlikely.
Once we program A.I. smart enough, they could potentially enslave us, but we would probably have programmed an off switch...But my vote goes with them...
