Poll: The use of '******' in Yahtzee videos

Yahtzee's swearing is bad, no one can say otherwise. But he manages to not make it offensive to someone, due to the fact that he is offensive to everyone, so instead of feeling offended, we laugh our ass off every time.

I don't understand why swearing is "offensive." They are words. The only reason you think they are "bad" is because your parents told you they were.

Don't get me wrong...My grandparents did the same thing. But I look at the bigger picture...Is the person trying to be a tosser, or are they just not really eloquent? Intent is what matters, not the syllables used.

Nah, in most cases he uses it in place of "pussy" because I guess "******" is a lot more guttural and articulates his point more efficiently.

It's never really got much to do with homosexuality, but that doesn't mean he's never made any gay jokes.

Don't watch the videos and I guarantee that you'll stop hearing the use of that word by Yahtzee at least 99% of the time.

They weren't really used in a specific insulting way. I mean if he called out people who liked the game "faggots" there'd be an issue.. But just using the word? I fail to see how just using any word constitutes offensive.

If it's used in a negative way it's bad. Hell even calling someone a CAKE could be insulting.

But just using the word and directing negativity at an inanimate object?

People really need to start thinking about the context in which the word has been said rather than jumping on the offended bandwagon every time they get the chance. So no, I don't find anything offensive in any of Yahtzee's videos. And if I did I would be wrong because he's only stating his opinion. Nothing wrong with that. i don't get offended by yahtzee at all. he tosses around a lot of words that i might offend me if he (or anyone) said them to my face, but in the mass-broadcast anonymity of the internet, i don't especially care what he says as long as he's saying it in that sexy accent and he occasionally makes me laugh.

It's a word that's became like the word gay to me. it doesn't mean what it once did. Honestly I don't really have an issue with someone using the word ****** as an insult as a bisexual because I've heard it so much from people who don't really get the meaning of it that it's kinda like when younger people call something gay. Yes, we know how they started using that word but to alot of them it just means uncool. Now without delving too far into y'know, deep rooted society issues etc, that word won't in that context mean anything else to most of them. Same thing here.

They tried a similar thing in my local town. They didn't put up christmas decorations because it might offend minority religions. Guess who complained most about taking the lights down? The minorities. So now they still have christmas lights.
