It'd be funny if he cracked witty remarks with a Jeremy Clarkson voice, but I think he'd go with Richard Dawkins just to fuck with everyone's minds.

I think Logan Cunningham (the narrator in bastion) would be the voice of god. Failing that then I'd go with the obvious choice of morgan freeman.

Morgan Freeman is a good idea, but Brian Blessed. BRIAN BLESSED. THAT WOULD BE SO EPIC.

If such a being exists, I imagine that it would sound something like the voice from Stephen Hawkins' computer.

I voted for Morgan Freeman, but now that I think about it, I think it should vary, depending on context.

Freeman is a good loving, comforting God voice. Liam Neeson would be His voice when He's trying to teach you something. Ron Perlman when He's weary and saddened by something. And Alan Rickman for a pissed-off, wrathful God.

Emo Philips or Joe Pasquale, for the hilarity.

Or maybe Stewart Lee, which would be ironic in itself.
Heh. That would be pretty entertainingly silly. I was thinking Wallace Shawn for similar reasons.

Hmmm...what about your own? I like the idea of deities appearing as yourself, as you always felt you should be, but didn't live up to.
I like this idea the best. The Voice of God would sound different to everyone who heard it, even if multiple people heard it at once. It's God, it can do that sort of thing.
But a majority of that group would be like, OMG MORGAN FREEMAN IS GOD.

Morgan Freeman when god is nice.

Samuel L Jackson when god wants to smite a mothah fuckah!!

Nelson Munch when a natural disaster happens.

I would say both Morgan Freeman and Stephen Fry.

Or, hilariously, John Cleese

Or, hilariously ironic, Richard Dawkins

*EDIT* Even better: George Carlin!

Liam Neeson's is pretty much the voice I hear when I imagine God's or Jesus' voice :).

James Earl Jones is the first voice for me. Nothing says God like a good Mufasa speaking to you.
Morgan Freeman would be my second choice, because lets face it, his voice is like silk.
My third choice would be Gordon Freeman, because he doesn't like to talk...
It took three pages to get to the true voice of God. I completely agree that James Earl Jones is the voice of God.

Then maybe Liam Neeson followed by Brian Blessed then finally a preaching Hanar...

Then again its my version of God so his voice will change to suit the mood!

I'm having a hard time deciding between Fry and Freeman. Freeman has this wise old man-voice, but Fry has humour in his voice, which is justified by God being a troll at times.
Maybe even John Cleese or Optimus Prime.
