You said it buddy. But like socks and remotes I'm sure we'll find them again eventually. I'm just not sure if we have to wait till the next generation of consoles or not.

You find them again? I've got about 15 socks in my draw with no matching pairs.

I was talking about this in the nintendo are you listening thread yesterday. Nintendo now realises people are stupid. You know those people that have never played a game before or think its for kids and then they suddenly see wii fit and its like wahhh shiny!

Stupid games for stupid people. But nintendo don't care because its making them money! So i reckon they will never ever get their rep back and no games on the wii except galaxy and brawl will ever be good.
Where the hell do you get the idea that accessible means stupid?
Just because someone has never held a controller in their life and therefore have no idea how to use it doesn't mean they lack intelligence. Just because a game is made that allows for people who have never held a controller in their life doesn't meant he game is stupid.
I use to be a Nintendo fanboy. Nintendo had such fantastic games back in the day and i mean fantastic! But now when anyone wants to buy a wii game now the only games you can find are millions of the same party games that are just childish, with controls that do not work and are just terrible in every aspect!

Its not about people not playing games before its the fact that nintendo are only reaching out to this people thinking that everyone will like these games when in fact the people that buy games are people that have played games their entire lives! Nintendo are losing these people.
First Paragraph: you mean the third-party games not actually made by Nintendo? Or do you mean the likes of Wii Sports and Wii Play? Those two are hardly horrible, unless you're actually looking for a challenge or something.

Second Paragraph: They're only reaching out to the nongamers? What about Galaxy, Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, Twilight Princess, Fire Emblem? What about the Virtual Console, you think they're allowing us to play Ninja Gaiden again for those who don't game? They may be the same franchises over and over again, but this is Nintendo, how could you have been a Nintendo fan long enough to blame the Wii for Nintendo's "decline" and not realise that this is what Nintendo have always done?

I bet after all those games you just listed you could not say another good game that is out for the wii? Virtual console is a waste of time it has hardly any games on it compared with what Ps3 store has or XBL store has too. Virtual console is only good if you have the homebrew channel hack.

Nintendo had such great games on gamecube and N64 for gods sake it had Resi 4 before PS2! Do you think Resi 5 will be coming out for wii? I didnt think so. Yes Galaxy and Brawl were fantastic. But compared to other consoles and PC the wii just cannot match up and it is because of Nintendos obsessive focus with party games and aiming at new people playing games!

Technically it's a Luigi game I guess but should be forgotten either way.

No More Heroes, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Okami, de Blob, Boom Blox
There, I just named five.

Virtual Console has A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Ocarina, Mario 64, Lylat Wars, Harvest Moon, Ninja Gaiden, Yoshi's Story, Mario RPG, Kid Icarus, several Kirby games, Castlevania, Mega Man, Secret of Mana, Paper Mario...
I could go on. That's plenty of quality games.

"Compared to other consoles and PC the Wii just cannot match up"
Well nothing can match up to the PC in my opinion. Compared to the other consoles, that is purely a matter of taste. I don't want Halo, Resident Evil, GTA, Mass Effect, Bioshock and all those. I have said before and I will say again that the Wii has more games that I would want to buy than the PS3 and 360 combined. That's only talking about games exclusive to the Wii or not available on PC, as the case may be. So even if the PS3 and 360 had their libraries combined, I would prefer a Wii for the games. So don't talk to me about the Wii "not being able to match up", that is an entirely subjective point.

That's all I have to say. I shall say nothing more on this subject because, like it or not, there are plenty of quality games on the Wii if you would bother to look past the crap. You can insist all you want that the Wii has no decent games, but "I don't like" does not equal "it is shit", no matter how hard you wish that to be so. And if you can't accept that people like different things, then I have nothing more to say to you.

When did i ever seem to say that i wanted to change peoples opinions about the Nintendo Wii or it's games? I do not care whatsoever if you enjoy the wii and it's games i am clearly stating and complaing about Nintendo and the fact that believe it or not. Nintendo has changed it's attitude about gaming and what the future of Nintendo is. This clearly changes the path of what games are going to be developed. Fair enough you do not want to play games such as "Halo, Resident Evil, GTA, Mass Effect, Bioshock and all those"

Well really then you dont have much choice at the end of the day. I don't want to change your opinion i am just clearly stating mine.

Well there's some potentially awesome games in the pipeline, but I guess all games are potentially awesome.

Here's a list someone has compiled of all the known games for wii next year. They all look likely to be awesome (except sonic) so I'm sure you will find something there for you.

Bully or The Godfather are probably the closest things to RPGs. I enjoy both of them, but they're hardly Baldur's Gate.

Okami is made out of win. Other than that, nothing on the Wii appeals to me (or rather, some games would appeal to me if it weren't for the contrl scheme)

There is a large list of games I have been meaning to get around to, but haven't found the time (Okami, any of the trauma centres, paper mario, list goes on). My faith in Nintendo goes as far as this year. If Conduit and Madworld don't tide me over until news of a new Zelda, Mario or even a Star Fox, I will be very dissapointed. 2008 seemed lackluster, and thats why I picked up a 360, but that system makes games that are not my favorite (FPS is alright in moderation, and I absolutely hate gears of War), but still fills the void nintendo has left behind. So, here is hoping that 2009 is the resurrection of nintendos catering to more core gamers.

The biggest problem with Nintendo isn't that they lack the capacity to produce (or host) good games, but rather the simple fact that franchises (otherwise known as beating a dead horse) are almost guarnteed money makers. The Wii has several excellent games, but unfortunately none of them really suit my tastes. That being said, I have on many occasions considered purchasing a Wii to play smash brothers, but since the game is mostly a party game and it's rare that I have several of my friends around at the same time these days it's a luxury I can live without.

i still don't get why people buy systems when the games they want aren't out yet. i waited for two years after the Wii came out because that's when it had enough games i actually wanted.

also who said nintendo stopped making good games?

EDIT: and another thing, who cares if 99% of the games are crap? I have (i think) 5-8 Wii games and that's enough to keep me occupied. i don't care how much third party shovelware gets put out because i don't buy those games.
This. Word for word.
