Caps lock is good for nothing other than making me look like a retard when talking over WoW, since i always accidentally catch it.

All hail the mighty shift key!

I use it for sprinting in video games, and capital letters while typing. I also have a habit of pressing it repeatedly while thinking of what to type. Unforenetly, it keeps bringing up the annoying sticky keys pop up box.

Thank you so fucking much. I hate polls with a passion, because people don't know how to handle them. A poll very rarely should ever have more than two or three options (yes or no almost always work, every now and then a maybe is necessary). Yet people include extra shit because they think they're really clever.

You're not. You're idiots.
I know right. Damn those people... ruining the legitimacy and integrity of our internet forum polls. Don't they know they produce helpful scientific data that is gathered amongst a proper sample size/spread, and provide the answers to all of life's quandries?

Oh wait this is a video game forum, I think they're just for fun and you shouldn't take them so seriously.

Also, stop using the shift key to type capital letters. Everyone else uses shift, its better, the capslock key is pretty pointless to be honest. That is all.

The only issue I have with capslock doing that is occasionally this will happen. hELLO! Otherwise I use it all the time and I'm quite comfortable with it.

Why make the topic if you don't want people to take it seriously? If people just replied with those random "funny" poll options, would you be pleased?

I might agree with you if the practice was actually clever. It's pretty much become the equivalent of a Chuck Norris joke now.

Running/selecting multiple units/bringing up power+weapon menu, depending on game. For general use: capitalization and symbols, obviously. It's rather silly to toggle caps lock on/off to type one letter.

Ok, some people are saying that if you use the Caps lock key YOU ARE GOING TO LOOK LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME! I doing it right now. I do not look like that and I type over 150 words a minute.

I use Caps Lock only when I want to see a pretty light come up on my lappy...ooh, shiny.

Shift dominates.

I Use The Shift Key A Lot. Its A Lot Faster Than Hitting Caps Lock On And Off If You're Going To Capitalize More Than A Couple Of Consecutive Characters In A Sentence

I regularly use the shift key to type in capital letters - even for an extended string. It would take several sentences before I would actually activate the caps lock for the purpose. I also use it to input special characters, but this is mostly because any other method of doing so is far more trouble than it might be worth.

Caps lock? Why would you use caps lock to make capital letters?

I've never heard of anybody doing that ever before.

ya shift not only makes things into caps, but it also gets the things on the number... things. you know what im talking about.
down side is some games require pressing the shift key alot, and when i press it more than 5 times (even if i disable it in settings) sticky keys still wont leave me alone. DAMN YOU STICKY KEYS! YOU HAVE THWARTED ME FOR THE LAST TIME!!!
