Quick question, what's the difference between a multiplayer hound and a social gamer? Because social gaming, after all, is multiplayer.

And where would Minecraft fit in? Would that be a social game? (I usually only play the multiplayer)
well. most multi-player games, are fast and have lots of action, but the social gamer plays to meet people and play so they can know more people, not really that much of a difference in some ways, but could people that spend a lot of time on wow, and others that just like to shoot other gamers

When I play a fun game I do what I can to squeeze every last drop of it out and then move on towards grinding the game till I have everything....I'm OCD like that.

Trust me If you seen me play God of War 3, most of the time is me getting every treasure chest

ok, it's basically competitive gaming rather than just multiplayer?

None of those. I don't care much for party games, sport games, multiplayer games, trophies/achievements, and there are some games I just play through once, others I played through multiple times, but I don't really sit there and try to figure out the statistics and stuff behind every problem I come to.

How about "the one who just plays".
How does that sound.
Yes, this. Or, one who just plays to have fun... that works for me. If I'm bored, I drop it and go play something else.

I am no achievement whore, unless I really like the game.
I do not fit your categories you judgemental poll-maker! *cries self to sleep*

The closest you got to me with your options was "trophy hunter". But I'm actually more of a "completionist"; I try to do/find everything in the game (if I like it), this is why you won't see much of me IRL now that I have New Vegas in my possession. :)

Well, since I'm the kind of elitist who likes books and stuff, I usually like games that have good stories. That said, I do love Battlefield, TF2 and SC2 in terms of multiplayer games, and I played Borderlands with a friend. And I still play Fallout 3 and used to play Oblivion a whole lot, so not purely a one time deal type either.
I guess I'm a hybrid of some sort?

I fall primarily under the "one and done" category, but on that one play through I prefer to do as much as I can as far as achievements go. Also, I'll play online multiplayer, so I'm social in that respect; but if you want to strictly label me I'm cool with being called "one and done".

I would say multiplayer hound out of those options.

I only am a number cruncher when it comes to Pokémon

where's the... "I play it once and unlock everything in the day and become absolute god at it in that short time so no one ever plays games with me" ...option?

I don't think I fit into any of the categories. I find a few games I like, then play them over and over.
This is me. I like to find new games I want to play forever. replay value is what makes me interested in a game. Usually, a game with multiple endings is ideal for me. But I don't restrict myself to that.

The Idolizer: finds a few games he/she likes, plays them to death, and obsesses over rather than buying new games or jumping too far out of the comfort zone. Replay value is a must. Usually plays alone.
