I preordered Silver! It looks so awesome, I can't wait to play. I always go with water pokemon, so I'm definitely picking Totodile.

I also have Yellow, Sapphire, LeafGreen, Diamond and Platinum.

I guess I'll start with Totodile and trade a Charmander from my Platinum to be my fire type.

Yeah, I'm that guy.
Wanna trade?
Trade what? Do you want a Charmander? I got five of the blighters. And a whole box of Chimchar.
Don't you *get* one of the Kanto starters later on in the game? I'll be patient and wait.

Well, I wasn't offering you. Now was I? I'm just kidding. I don't remember if you do get the Kanto starters. But if you're right, and I can get *one* then I'll have *two*. Which sounds pretty cool to me.

Totodile, 'cause he was the first pokemon I ever had.

But I'll trade for the other starters/Larvitar once I get to Goldenrod. Then it will be fucking awesome.

I do hope they'll add more to Kanto though. It seemed like a cheap add-on in GSC.

You'll wait until they release Family Jewels Crystal and then just start the process all over again. Can't you just stick to the original? Besides, I would hate to have all the god pokemon incorporated into one of the older games, because that one tower in 2nd gen - you KNOW they will put all the hardest pokemon on top, not just the original Ho-oh/Lugia/Suicune.

I'll get cyndaquil. Then I'll make an elite team of baby pokemon (from other games) to add to that.

I actually just bred two Coelacanth- I mean Relicanth- together and it was SHINY! YES! I HAVE A BLUE LVL 1 RELICANTH TO USE!

Reasons I wanted blue:
-the original colour looks like menadoensis
-blue looks like chalumnae, except for the large head

...ok, maybe I used a certain AR code on my old DS that gave me 100% shiny encounters.
Can I get that code?

I still haven't decided if I'm going to get either of these games yet. Although if I do, I'll probably go with either Totodile or Cyndaquil.

Cyndaquil.

I can catch passable water Pokemon by the boatload as soon as I get a Good Rod, and this being Johto, I eventually find wild Woopers.

Grass? Sunkerns out the ass.

But Fire? Fire is hard to find.

Besides...have you not SEEN Cyndaquil? He's fucking adorable!

Totodile all the way since it evolves into the mighty Croconaw and Feraligator. Also, an earlier water pokemon really helps

Cyndaquil since good fire types are always few and far between in Pokemon games. Water types practically rain from the sky (no pun intended), and Grass isn't very useful overall.
Well I kinda like Torterra for diamond/pear/platinum but thats probably because I used his grass attacks to supplement his ground ones... then again chikorita is pure grass so...
