Firefox is definitely my favorite, it is more faster than IE 7 and there I haven´t seen any virus on my computer when I used that browser. Plus, it is more faster than IE 7.

Been having a lot of trouble with FireFox 3 that I never had with 2... And it won't remember my passwords like I like, and Myspace won't remember my login name even though I tell it to...
yeah it will, you have to retell it to remember your passwords and such, the bar is at the top of the tab now instead of a popup like in previous versions

i've been using firefox/firebird/phoenix since version .2 or so

What, no "All of the above"? I prefer IE7, but I also use Firefox 2.0 and Opera. I don't get any pop-ups, security problems, automatically installed software (including Active X and java), or viruses using IE7 and McAfee. I do think Firefox is faster, but I prefer Internet Explorer's interface.

There seems to be a great number of Firefox users here. I am too, but I wasn't expect nearly as many as there are. No one has mentioned the many glorious addons, which surprises me. I'm blocking ads and scripts, downloading videos which I shouldn't be able to, looking at tomorrow's weather, and I can see today's Dilbert any time I feel like, and not scratching the surface of modifications

Anyway, 8,000,000+ downloads in 24 hours for Firefox 3. If that isn't worth a Guinness world record, I can't imagine what is.

Firefox 3, the one true browser.
QFT.

Anyways, I just plain like FireFox better. Though, I have to use IE in school, as FireFox is screwy over there.

I use Safari

I have used it for years, and firefox really (to me) is just prettier. On a Mac, safari has almost all the same bells and whistles, and i couldn't be bothered to change.

Firefox because Microsoft is evil.

I can't live without Firefox's tabbed browsing (I know IE has it too but they copied) and it has a lot of cool/useful add-ons.

Open source ftw.

Firefox. I have a ton of FF addons (to 'handle' scripts, flash, etc) that really allow me to customise everything... but sometimes a webpage wont work probably because of a minor bug or problem, and in those instances I'm forced to use IE just to get the page working. On my main machine I got rid of IE completely tho using xplite :)

Oh, and I upgraded to FF3 and the stupid thing has crashed on me about 15 times in the past 24 hours... and a large number of my addons don't work. I'll wait a while before I uninstall FF2 and only use FF3...

Honestly? I use Firefox, because they had tabbed browsing first and that was awesome. But nowadays, it's mostly just habit because IE can do most of the stuff Firefox can these days anyway.
As a web designer I usually design for IE, because there are still way more people using IE than Firefox. I know the poll says different, but that may be because it represents 0.01% of the users of the internet.

Customisability. You can get addons for everything. For example, I have Forecast Fox which gives me the weather, I have a program that starts up Firefox where I turned it off. I have an extension that provides me with a dictionary to help spot any words I may typo, I have another that blocks all flash files till I want to see them. Another allows me to easily download flash animations or videos. I can run IRC chat from Firefox and Adblocker. Always important. I have a backup program that backs up my entire Firefox profile daily in the case of something bad happening. I can then synch that with my Laptop's Firefox. It's all free and there are plenty more addons which you or anyone else might be interested in.

Umm, according to this performance test, Opera 9.5 (which I'm using) is better. http://nontroppo.org/timer/kestrel_tests/ (Kestrel) Also, most of those have been on Opera since the begining. The problem with Opera is that it's pretty unknown, but it's as good as if not better than Firefox. Just look at this statistic chart. http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

This is a bit off-topic, but I don't understand why most users of Firefox worship it like it's Godsent?

P.S: I don't intend on starting a flame war. I know you cannot change other people's opinions.
