Poll: What's cooler, scars or tattoos?

Scars.

Any douchebag can get a tattoo, but to get a scar, you have to do something dangerous. Which is an instant plus in my book.

I always thought it would be cool to have a scar right across my face diagnoly and a tattoo on my left arm that says "El Diablo" or something like that.

Scars. Especially the ones that have a good story behind them (and I've got a great story across my forehead).

I'm also fond of good looking tattoos, but considering almost everyone has one today, good ones are rare to come by.

Scars, but only if the story going with them isn't stupid (for example, I have a bullet wound scar... which is cool until you realize it's because I accidentally shot myself at the range). Though I would say getting through something dangerous/painful WITHOUT scars is even cooler. Tattoos are lame when they aren't original, or if they look dumb anyway. Now if you go through the effort to do some actual ART on your body, then that can be pretty damn cool.

I don't care for either of them, but a scar shows that you've been exposed to danger, instead of just gone to get a picture put on you.

Neither look good. Scars can have great stories, but tatoos, not so much. Unless you got the tattoo from saving a dozen children from a blazing inferno while fighting terrorists and high-fiving Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee at the same time.

It depends on where the scar is, I mean, I have a scar on the heel of my left foot, but that's not particularly cool... I slashed it by accident on a nail when I was 10.
