Yes. Very yes. When you feel the need to kill masses of things, zombies are perfect. Whether shooting them by the thousand in Left 4 Dead, or plowing through piles and piles of them with a car in Dead Rising, killing zombies just doesn't get old.rokkolpo said:we like killing them. nothing else
And, like Nazis, you can't feel bad about killing them.Bofus Teefus said:Yes. Very yes. When you feel the need to kill masses of things, zombies are perfect. We don't love them, we love to kill them!Xandus117 said:I personally think zombies are dumb. I don't understand why so many people love them.
It's primarily due to the genre's connotations with the downfall of humanity and society, in addition to it making it ok to bash the brains out of things that look essentially human.DuplicateValue said:Seriously, I promise you all that if I see one more zombie thread, I may explode - leaving brain matter all over the beautiful whitewashed walls of the Escapist.
What is so great about zombies? Why does everyone seem to love them?
As far as I'm concerned, they're the most useless enemy in both games and movies, far surpassed by all other types of undead/evil/mutated/mythical creatures.
Please, somebody explain this to me before I lose (what's left of) my sanity.
well, i think it depends on the type of zombie. Theres loads of different versions, personally i think theyre scariest in 28 days later. i know they arent technically zombies but their concept is similar. The fact they run and practically touching you can turn you is pretty terrifying. The slow ones are not scary. For they are slow.DuplicateValue said:But there's the problem: Zombies aren't scary. At all.MikeTheElf said:4- Fear of zombies spawns good movies and video games.
I laughed through Diary of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead and every other zombie movie I've ever seen.
How could I ague with you while Cloud is making those puppydog eyes at me? =DWalkingreenman987 said:well, i think it depends on the type of zombie. Welcome to the Escapist btw. =]
Except in this case a ridiculous amount of people seem to have the same taste.Disaster Button said:Because people have different tastes to you and are allowed their own opinions? Just a thought.
I personally think they're okay
I can withstand pirates because there are solid reasons why they're awesome.AndyVale said:So bored of them. Pirates are worse though, I am bored senseless with people thinking that speaking, dressing or doing anything like a pirate is in any way fun, original or amusing. It's just something to do when you've run out of ideas.
