The ones that are good to play with make you forget about the rest, so no matter what you always run back to Live. At least, that's my experience.
I'd have to say that it's a close tie for me in between TF2 and BF2142 (which I can't believe nobody mentioned).
I guess its because the game is "old" and the only people left who play it are the Hardcore bf2142 players.vampyricvoid said:

I like most of the games on that list but Halo 3 is my favorite because aside from being generally fun (for me at least) there are so many other cool things to do like, forge, and saved films. also there is a sense of unpredictability that gives you the science that anything can happen in a game. for example I once shot a rocket and it hit a grenade somebody through which nocked the rocket off corse and caused it to hit two unsuspecting enemies, and we can't forget about the infamies traffic cone kill
and for the inevitable flame war about which games have the best/wort communities, every game has some annoying people who will never shut up but also every game has lots of nice respectful people so its not nice to make generalizations

Im suprised no-ones mentioned the CS (counter strike) games, they are one of the biggest online shooting games out
TF2's a lot of fun if you've got a good team behind you, but I mostly play CoD4 these days because I like the guns so much.
