First for me, because it was so bad I didn't have any interest in episode 2 or 3. So I didn't even watch them. Episode 1 almost spoiled whole star wars for me.

Had to watch old star wars few times to make sure I still liked them.

I genuinely liked watching all of them, no vote from me, sure the acting was a bit crap but whatever, I personally found them all good to watch.

In my opinion it was Episode 2. Yeah, Episode 1 was fairly bad and had some fairly annoying characters *gives Jar Jar a murderous glance* but it was saved by the epicness of Darth Maul.

A forum discussion involved a poster wondering what order he should show his girlfriend the Star Wars movies. It basically came down to the order they were released versus numerical order. It appeared that opinion was strongly leaning to the order they were released because the newer ones sucked ass.

I concur with this opinion, however, it did make me wonder which of the prequel movies is the biggest abomination against humanity. So tell me which one you think is the worst and why.
I too concur with that analysis, Ep 4-6 > Ep1-3

Ok well it can't be Ep1 because Liam Neeson is in it, so that's just ruled out.

And while Ep3 didn't really connect AT ALL well to Ep4, that's the fault (as usual) of Ep2.

In Ep2, Anakin turns from a cool little kid into a dickwad teenager - the worst Darth Vader has ever looked on screen - and the story effort to connect up to the original trilogy moved very little, so it has to be Ep2.

BTW, Do you have a preference?

To me it is a tie between episode 1 and 2 as being the worst prequels. 1 has the worst characters (Jar-Jar being the worst offender), and the child acting in the film makes me shudder. However, 2 contains a love story that makes little to no sense and is poorly developed. This would be as big deal, expect for it one of the key plot development points of not only the episode, but of the whole franchise. Of course, both episodes contain poor writing and acting. They are also shot like complete ass. Soooo....if I had to pick the worst episode, it would be number 1, but I can't really argue with someone picking 2.

My knee-jerk reaction was Episode II, but now that I stop and think about it I might change my vote to Episode III. While Episode II's "romance" subplot was an unholy abomination of cinema, I really enjoyed certain parts of the film. For example, just about any scene with Jango Fett was awesome. It's like if Boba actually did shit in the classic trilogy instead of just standing around all the time. I also have a soft spot for the scene at the diner, mostly because of the banter between Obi-Wan and Dex. You can tell the two have a history of sorts and genuinely enjoy each others' company. Ironically, we hardly ever see such camaraderie with Anakin and Obi-Wan, even though they're supposedly good friends.

While Episode III doesn't have the same degree of spectacularly bad moments that Episode II had (though it still had its share of cringe-worthy scenes), it's an overall "meh" experience from start to finish. Given the choice, I'd rather have to sit through a terrible movie that has a few hidden gems than one that isn't as bad overall, but doesn't have any memorable moments.

And for the record, I actually like Episode I. Of course it has its share of flaws, but I find it far more enjoyable to watch than the other two.

Episode 2, the "romance" in that film was just dreadful. Ok sure the battle at the end was awesome but I cannot forgive the film for that romance.

Well I love all three prequels and think the first three are steaming piles of donkey shit.
Out of curiosity, what do you consider your GOTY?
MW3. I understand. You don't like the Star Wars prequels so you're better than me. Congratulations.
Why so defensive? I'm mostly just curious what sort of game someone who prefers the prequels to the real ones likes. Now I know.

Yes but you're forgetting the Neeson factor! it makes that movies into a 5/10 where it would've otherwise have been a 2.5/10, he single handedly adds 2.5 points (or x2 multiplier take your pick).

Alright, fair enough, I don't understand the child acting critism at all though, I thought young Anakin was much better than the middle one, the eldest Anakin was actually ok until he went fucking stupid.

Well, in defense of the prequel movies, child actors annoy me in general. So I dunno, maybe it was a great performance. I also agree that Neeson provides the best performance in the movie....of course he is not competing against much.

Episode 1 was pretty bad, but at least has its non-Jar Jar moments. Episode 2 is good if you block out all the romance. Episode 3...fuck it. I have a book version that does the job infinitely better, and almost makes up for the worse parts of the prequel.

Episode 1... At least shit HAPPENED in the other 2 movies.... The first one was just random political jargon thrown together in an attempt to make sense broken up by the occasional lightsaber duel between 2 (or 3) characters we don't care about or a sensory overloading battle/racing sequence. Don't get me wrong, the others were bad as well, but #1 takes home the polished turd.

I can't believe I didn't mention Jar Jar once in that whole paragraph...

Well you're out of luck. I hated MW3.

Btw, why does everyone hate Jar Jar? He's one of my favorite aliens. It's nice to see an alien that's not portrayed as mean and vicious that'll kill you if you look at them wrong. I much prefer somewhat human-like natives rather than ooze balls living in a swamp. They've got a pretty good design compared to half of the other stuff in Stars that's just randomly given lumps and horns and whatever else to make them look weird, and atleast his not in some crappily made costume.
