Why no Rouge Traders on the list as well as Adeptus Arbites?

Despite Rouge Traders not being offcialy part of Imperail Forces, they did commission the first of them.

Furhter interlude for those not knowing who Rouge Trader are: Rogue Traders are people who have rare ancient star maps that allow them to travel the far reaches of space. Due to this many of them posses Dark Age tech or even more advance stuff due to meeting/dicovering ancient races/homes of said races. Despite most Rogue Trader being pro imperial they often get chased by Inquisitors calling them tainted by the warp and by their contact with xenos.

Because Rogue traders are dirty bastards that deserve to be shot and hung on site for mingling with dirty xenos and heretics!

ah yeah he definitely helps make it better, not just gags about his smell but also his simple minded straight foward approach to things. I'm just saying I wouldn't wanna be as smelly as him.

Yes. Sadly, they trend towards being mono-gender and thus it's very difficult to tell a female tech priest from a male one until they speak. However, there are other roles inside the Adeptus Mechanicus in which female are a little more, well, female, but those tend to be jobs subserviant to higher ranking priests or aids to princeps.

As for my choice? If I could pick anything I'd go with the Ordos Hereticus, with training from both the Culexus and Vindicare temples. Searching the Imperium from within with the powers of the null-psyker and elite sniper training would be one of the safest and cushiest jobs ever, without being terribly dull. Gotta kill the heretics to get the paycheck for the wife, y'know!

Barring a relatively normal life, I'd probably want to be an Astartes. They're just so awesome. Not sure which chapter, I think they're all pretty cool.

Hello everyone, I am back again with another WH40K THREAD! YAY!

I choose defecting to the Tau.

I can live with being a second class citizen if it means I stand a good chance of surviving more than fifty years without getting caught in a Chaos raid, a Hive Fleet, a WAAAUUUGGGHHH!, an Inquisition investigation or worst of all, Imperial recruitment.

The Glorius Imperial Navy:

Fight massive organic Tyrannic fleets, provide devastating orbital support to the guard or marines, purge worlds through virus bombing and orbital blasting, and finally, when the Inquisition come aboard, you get to call down exterminus orders..

I love the Navy.. although I'd probably end up manning a small and unprotected carrier and then getting boarded and disemboweled by some hungry berserker..

The only way I'd join the Inquisitors would be if I found out I was part Spanish. Even then I'd quit after one day of constantly shouting the Monty Python line.

I guess I prefer the "Shoot everything in your path" approach to the "Arrest everything in your path, take them in for questioning, excruciating torture and then execute them whether there's any evidence of their corruption or not" approach. Gimme a boltgun and a big red powerfist and I'm set for a couple of hundred years.

Navy. Their ships are atleast valuable and not thrown away too lightly.
Everyone else is fucked, even the space marines, only without the sex. Inquisition would be alright, if you wanted to do much of the rape.

Imperial Navy. Seems like the easier, less dangerous choices, and one that lets me keep my humanity. I suppose I could have joined the Ministorum(which is what a male serving with the Sisters would do), but I don't like the idea of mindless worship.
