That fat dude who was on late tbs that did the same skit 50 times and all his voices sounded the same. UGH he was dreadful!
Dammit, what's his name? He did impersonations really well...unfortunately all of those impersonations were old enough to legally have sex with and not funny at all.

Someone please give me an amen on this one: clean, safe comics are pussies and they all suck.

Michael McIntyre, the only comedian to have never even made me smile, let alone laugh.
I did laugh at one of his quips on mock the week once but other than that this guy is painfully unfunny

I sense he's going to end up another Peter Kay, a 'safe' comedian that the masses all like, but then he's going to get far too popular, get too much exposure, the masses will tire of him and he'll be too popular to go back to being a 'comedy club' stand up...

However I did love the moment on Have I got News For You when he did his impression of Jeremy Clarkson to the guest host, Jeremy Clarkson. It's made even more enjoyable by the obvious 'I'm really not enjoying this' smile plastered over Clarkson's face.

Andy Parsons. Terrible comic timing.

I find Jim Davidson and Alan Carr are both very annoying for different reasons (ones too rightwing/racist and the other over-does the campness).

For best, I'd say Marcus Brigstock, Frankie Boyle and Shappi Khasandi.
That guy is a fucking legend. So underrated as a comedian, his Radio 4 shows are excellent. Seen him live, was awesome.

The general concensus seems to be Carlos Mencia, Dane Cook and Larry the cable guy. I say we form a posse and go burn a stage in front of there houses.

Dane Cook has 3 punchlines per show, and the rest is explaining the story that leads up to the punchline.

And trust me, this isn't a troll post. He came to our college to do a live stand-up show, so a bunch of friends and I decided to go. In short, it was basically one hour of him standing in front of a whiteboard and making lame one-sentence jokes about the stuff he drew on it. It was extremely disappointing.

To be fair, he was kinda funny, but not really funny enough to be considered a fully-fledged comedian.
How long ago was this? Because I saw him earlier this year and he was up for about 3 hours and he played some songs and did a whole lot more than just his whiteboard stuff.

OT: Jeff Dunham makes me want to throw up. Never have I ever heard of someone so unbelievably not funny become so popular. It's horrific. I remember that I got a DVD of him because I heard so many people rave about how hilarious he was. I started up the video and he mentions a puppet named Peanut or something and everyone starts to cheer. After watching through the first couple of puppets and not laughing at all, I skipped to his Peanut act and I was insanely disappointed. It was one of the worst "comedy" acts I have ever had the misfortune of witnessing. The worst part was that his dead terrorist act on YouTube has like 10 million views or something. I watched it thinking that maybe this might be better, but it was just as bad. He is a terrible comedian.

Anyone in Australia who is familiar with Good News Week will be familiar with Akmal. God I want that stupid little prick to go die. And if you call me racist, I honestly wouldn't care if he was white, black or bright yellow, he isn't funny.

It's not racist b/c he isn't making fun of Arabs, he's making fun of TERRORIST, who deserve anything they get, bad humor, death, more death, painful death, and dip them in pigs blood followed by death so they will die thinking they won't go to the place they want to go after murdering civilians...
Talk about wearing your racism on your shoulder. Dunham of course wouldn't attempt to create an original bit by making Achmed into Uncle Carlyle, the IRA bomber or Buzzcut McFascist, your hillbilly OK City kablooey guy. Or perhaps, it's because he's cashing in on post-9-11 sentiments such as yours above by PANDERING TO RACISM.

Hold on, I found the link...

http://www.bobanddavid.com/2007/10/an_open_letter_to_larry_the_ca.html

Your little rant about 2 wrongs = a right reminded me of this. I'll give you one of my favorite excerpts. David Cross quoting from a Larry the Cable Guy show:

Re: Abu Ghraib Torture -

"Let me ask some of these commie rag head carpet flying wicker basket on the head balancing scumbags something!"

Re: Having a Muslim cleric give the opening prayer at the Republican Convention -

"What the hell is this the cartoon network? The Republicans had a muslim give the opening prayer at there (sic) convention! What the hell's going on around here! Is Muslim now the official religion of the United States!...First these peckerheads ( Ironically, "peckerhead" was a derogatory word slaves and their offspring used to describe white people) fly planes into towers and now theys (sic) prayin' before conventions! People say not all of em did that and I say who gives a rats fat ass! That's a fricken slap in the face to New York city by having some muslim sum-***** give the invocation at the republican convention! This country pretty much bans the Christian religion (the religion of George Washington and John Wayne) virtually from anything public and then they got us watchin' this muslim BS!! Ya wanna pray to allah then drag yer flea infested ass over to where they pray to allah at!" End Quote. So...yeah. There you go. This quote goes on and on but my favorite part is when you say towards the end, "...now look, I love all people (except terrorist countries that want to kill us)..."

Also, and I say this only because I believe you truly are capable of rational thought, it should have occurred to you about 8 years ago that Al Qieda (I don't know how to spell it!), unable to actually drive the U.S. out of the Middle East, could only ever win by making us betray our own ideals.
At least your answer was thought out, but you did miss a key part... Nothing I said was "Racist"... not even anti-Muslim.

It's not "racist" b/c I'm not pointing out Arabs. I can't speak for Larry the Cable Guy, just what I feel. Racism is the belief that one racial group is superior to another racial group, and I don't believe that. Just b/c one human being has more color in their skin, different features, or different languages doesn't make them superior or inferior to another human being with different features. A white=black=arab=asian=hispanic=any other race I forgot...

First: I think all terrorists should be killed...and horribly, from the unhappy employee that shoots up an office building, to the Major who yells Allah Akbar before gunning down US soldiers on a military base, to one group of Christians killing another group of Christians, to the skinhead the burns down a black church, to a riot in LA b/c of a unfortunate event by police. I'm color blind and culture blind to justice... killing civilians in order to scare the people to force your dominance is wrong. I know civilians are killed in war, and that unfortunate, but there is a diffence..

Honest to God, my true point is that I really don't care who makes a parody of who...its that political correctness has gone bat sh*t bonkers, especially concerning Muslims. If he had a puppet of a fat redneck, you wouldn't be going on about how that was insensitive to fat rednecks, or if it was a puppet making fun of any other American, Australian, British, or European character, no one would really care. It's the same reason that the Kabba isn't one of the monuments destroyed in "2012" while the Vatican and other Christan monuments are.... b/c we don't want to "offend" the Muslim World, either out of political correctness, making them another victim faction, or b/c people are scared to death they'll end up like Theo Van Gogh and murdered in the street for his legitimate criticism of Islam.

I have nothing against Islam or Muslims, but just like I hate Christians that go way to far, I hate Muslims that go way to far. Most Muslims are peace-loving, wonderful people that wouldn't hurt a fly, live their life, play video games, go shopping, love their country (American/European/Aussie/British), pay their bills, and worship quietly and faithfully.

However, the radicals have taken over their whole identity, and the liberal and moderate Muslims are scared to speak out on fear of being shunned and even killed. Without the Muslim majority to set the record straight, millions of Americans are frightened, confused, and misinformed about the majority of Muslims, and some make humor out of it by pointing out things we see as culturally funny. Whether that is right or wrong is another argument, but ultimatly, it's up to the Muslim community to set the record straight and destroy its radical elements...

I have no problems making friends with and working with moderate Muslims to make a tolerant and respectful society, but we also need to show the radicals that killing civilians will be met with a price.

That's why I made the "pig's blood" statement. These radicals that are killing Allied soldiers and civilians are doing it as part of a religious statement, and feel that they will be reward in Heaven, sometimes with many virgins. So, I feel it that letting them know that we will take steps to see they don't get there will make them think twice.

Back to my original point. We as a society need to get past the knee jerk reaction to everything being racist/culturalist/homophobic/hate speech bull crap. A truly tolerant society can MAKE FUN OF EACH OTHER and MAKE SOCIAL COMMENTARY without having to worry about being slandered, sued, and rode out of town on a rail. Humans are funny. We do stuff that's funny in our own culture, we see other cultures as funny... and that's not disrespecful to think so, as long as you respect the people. A lot of people think American culture is funny, and somedays, so do I, and that doesn't bother me. We need to laugh WITH each other. We need to be the big boys on the playground, not take our ball and go home b/c some "hurt's our feelings"

If Durham's puppet truly offends you.. it's your right to gripe a bit and it's your right to contact him and tell him how you feel, but you don't have a right to call him a racist or a bad guy, or to ban him from using his puppet b/c it offends you. There is no "right to remain unoffended", but there is a right to free speech. No boycotts, no lawsuits, no harsh language. Just breathe and let it go, and use your energy for other things, things you love and enjoy.

I know this went long... you can private message if you want to continue.. Thanks
