I wear a watch all the time, took to doing it when I started work. Now I honestly can't see myself without one.

Its easier and does wonders for your image, I can be talking about anything but throw in a couple of opening gestures and casually check the time on my chunky steel wrist watch and some people will follow me off a fucking cliff.

People are still ultimately animals, if you look, sound and act like the best leader they will follow you with varying degrees of blindness.

I was reminded of this watching the LRR about synchronizing time. Why would people even wear these things? They look and feel as outdated as a 'cell phone' the size of a toaster.

Conclusion: Old people are the only ones who wear wrist watches.

Edit: It ate my poll, oh well.
I wear one for work (not allowed mobile phones)

I wouldnt say they are outdated, lets face it, a classy wrist watch looks good (on certain people)

They can live pretty much forever, unlike phones.
You dont have to recharge it - if your phone dies then you have to find out someother way.
You can use them while playing sport or when your at the gym
Time saver (sure it might be 1 second of time saved, but say your carrying shit loads of stuff, just look at your wrist)

Im curious to what the poll said, I have a feeling people had a different opinions than you

Conclusion: Your a moron :)

Some people do. One of my best mates wears a pretty swish wristwatch. If I had one like that, and manly enough forearms to wear it, I sure as hell would.

I always wore a wristwatch, until this past year. See when my hormones fluctuate I react to the metals in pretty much every watch I've ever liked, and I finally gave up on dealing with the oxidizing and subsequent skin reactions. Sometimes it sucks being a female. :|

But if you do wear a wristwatch people will ask you for the time and you'll look smart.

Whilst I can live without my wristwatch it just feels so wrong. I'm constantly looking at my wrist and rubbing my arms like a freakin' junky. It's wierd but I just can't be without time and my wrist is the most convenient place for it. Sure I can use my mobile and get the time that way, but I need that presence of time that having a hunk of metal on my wrist gives me.

I kinda feel naked without my watch on, its the only peice of jewlery i wear and it's more a part of my clothing than a fashion item. Plus its a military watch so its water proof to 200m, glows in the dark, (tritium dial heads) tells me the date and tells me the time!

I don't personally wear one, as i feel it's uncomfy (i wouldn't even take along my cellphone if i could help it.) but a few of my friends do wear them and unsurprisingly they look good.

I occasionally wear a Rocker Watch. Classy, stylish, and comfortable to boot.

Now that everyone carries a cell phone everywhere they go wrist watches are reduntant. If I wear ever to wear one it would be purley a aesthetic thing.
