Peter Falk isn't dead, even though people may think he is. He's a lot like Abe Vidoga or Gene Wilder in that respect. Out of all the recent celebrity deaths I'd say David Carradine was the saddest, most hilarious, and most memorable of all of them. Billy Mays was just a man who hocked cheap wares and yelled while doing it. He was a sales man. Where are all the people saying how awesome Oscar Meyers was? RIP hog-anus man.SlainPwner666 said:Neither. Carlin I've never heard of, and I've always hated MJ. If anything, Billy Mays. Or Columbo.
i choose billy mays because i bought mighty putty from that good man... i died a little when he died...Radeonx said:This. Billy Mays was pure awesome, and he left too soon.Nitpicker of the Wastes said:Can I pick Billy Mays?
The thing with Billy Mays is that he had something very few TV salesmen had...integrity. Sure, he did infomercials, but he never lied about what his products were capable of, or misled you in what they did or were, unlike a certain Shamwow salesman (Sham is right...). He had a persona he cultivated to stand out, but more than that, he was a truly honest salesman.Vern said:Peter Falk isn't dead, even though people may think he is. But an honest salesman is still a salesman. If I had a guy selling me dog crap saying it would shine my car, and another guy selling me the same crap saying it's just dog crap, I wouldn't buy from either of them. I would much rather have an honest salesman than a dishonest salesman, but I can't say that Oxyclean or Magic Putty ever changed my life, so I can't see why he would be held in this high esteem. But the same goes for Jackson and Fawcett as well.thebobmaster said:The thing with Billy Mays is that he had something very few TV salesmen had...integrity.
