Poll: Why do you think men like showing off scars?

Some old genetic thing, from when we still hurdled together in caves, when the man with the scars usually was stronger and better than his other peers.

Wouldn't the best of them have no scars?

THE only awesome scar is a scar that goes vertically on your eye. Every other scar pales in comparison.

Scars have stories, at least in my case. Some are just stupid, some show how far I've come. Of course, I tend not to show off my scars anyway.

In an attempt to out-do the next guy/girl. That's why I do it on occasion and most of my friends do it too. It's kind of like a survival of the fittest thing I guess.

It is because back when manly men were the ones who got the females, the manly man who had the most scars was the manliest, and the ladies thought if she mated with him, she'd have manly men for children, who would go on to make their own manly men children...now, I'm not so sure.

I can't not show it off because my scar happens to be located on my face, right next to mye left eye actually. I could be half blind right now in fact...
