I'm past my teens, i've had a job for the past 2½ year, i'm reattending school (to become an animator so i can MAKE games) if i ever get children they will sure as hell be raised on whichever generation of consoles is avalible at that time.

I know i'll prolly have less time for games when i get a fammily, and already when i start at school again, cause i have to keep my job parttime to make a living, but i'll still gamer when i have time.

What the previous poster said. And besides that... ma father (56 years old) plays games so I guess I'm just like him.

I dont think I'll outgrow gaming. Hopefully, 50 years from now, I'll be playing CoD56:MW54 as a grandpa.

I'm starting to get that way. Games used to be how I spent the majority of my time, something I looked forward to, that fed my imagination at night. Nowadays I find all but the best games to be mere pastimes. I rarely get excited. I guess games are getting old for me... doesn't stop me from enjoying them now and then, but I am definitely no longer an avid gamer.

I'm 29 and nowhere close to outgrowing games, heavy metal or toilet humour.

Nor do I ever plan to.
Now that's enjoying life.

If i eventually have kids (which i hope to) then i will probably focus all my efforts on them until they are old enough to go out and do their own thing, then go into my attic, dust off my 360 (or whatever console i happened to have had) and whack it on my tv and bust out skate xD.

so in short my answer is maybe for a little while but there will always be a place for them in my house

I'll probably keep on gaming, but not as often as I do today. Once my studies get more intense, I acutally start developing a social life and can go outside again, I'll lessen the hours of game-time.

Until then, Game on!

Not a chance video games are too much awesomeness... when I have my own family, I'm going to raise my children to be video game nerds just like me.

I haven't stopped enjoying my first Sonic games, I have a job, I'm asexual so I'm not about to have a family so I think games will remain in my hobbies till I have a tubes coming out of my body.

If things go according to plan and I marry a girl with a similar outlook on my geekier interests, then our family game night will not consist scrabble or risk. My children will know the difference between a +3 Keen Greatsword and a +7 Vorpal Bastard Sword by the age of 10.

i think it'll be whenever VR takes over. i'm probably the only person that thinks this, but when virtual reality becomes the norm for gaming i will give up. i like sitting with a controller and playing a game. fuck being in the game. if i wanted to feel like i'm in a game i'd join the army and go to iraq. i know i'll probably get a lot of flak for this statement but oh well.

Of course I can't say for sure; But probably no. I was told: "when you get older you'll understand why real life is more fun". But I never did. As time goes by I see less and less reason to stop playing. Real life is pretty damn predictable and boring. Until someone presents the true meaning of life to me it will remain my understanding that we have no idea what the meaning of this shit is, and all we can do is to enjoy ourselves. For me, that's games.
Real life is pretty dan predictable and boring??!?!?!?!!? If you stay in your bedroom playing games ofcourse it is, you just got to do stuff, just fly to china for a week and see what happens, go skiing/snowboarding in the alps, what have you tried doing so far??

Oh and I will probably quit completely when I get to college, anyone who wants to get a good job hasent got time to play games during college.
I can only speak for myself and so should you. I don't like how you assume I spend my entire days in my bedroom and that it is the reason I find life boring. Of course things would be predictable if that were the case, but it's not. I just find life boring, because I find it predictable. I do spontaneous things like leave the country for a few weeks (I moved to Holland two months ago, worked and now I'm moving back) every now and then, but I seldom repeat the process because it's becoming boring.
Ok sorry maybe I came across the wrong way, but there are billions of things to do so how can you say theyre boring? maybe you havent tried enough things, there are soo many hobbies you can do..
