There are some very sweet desert wines.

Personally I prefer red wine. Whites are too bland for my tastes. Rose is always a safe bet. With meals I much prefer a sangria though, white makes for some really fruity sangria.

You know many people drink wine starting at 16, or even earlier?

Including me. And I was going to say red but rose through me for a loop. I'm surprised you even mentioned it as it seems to not be well known, in Canada at least. I like both, depends on the situation.
But... but... No one... This is just...

*sobs quietly for his beer and vodka*

Seriously though, no one I know would say they drink wine bar one or two girls maybe.

White by itself is good anytime.

Red is good on colder days.

If I ever have the ingredients it would be this:
Bellini
Ingredients:
1 medium ripe Peach, peeled and pureed
4-6 oz Italian dry Sparkling white wine or Champagne
Mixing instructions:
Pour peach puree into glass and slowly add champagne. Stir gently. Garnish with a peach slice.

In this recipe, I kind of cheat though. I use canned peaches. For 1) I don't have to be looking for ripe peaches 2) No need to puree canned peaches, just mush them, but lazy again, I just cut them in half 3) The juices in canned peaches adds to the drink as well. It is good. Give time for the peaches to soak in the alcohol. Really chill the champagne/sparkling wine for better taste as well.

Red defently, I drink a bottle a day to be honest, white is nasty. Although this seems strangely appropriate; Dylan Moran on wine

the scene from black books with the biscuit coaster would be better but I cant find it on its own.

There isn't an option for 'I LOVE THEM ALL :D'.

If you're gonna force me to choose, then I'd say red. Though I much prefer port and other fortified wines.

All. Wine gets its color based on the makers leaving the grape skin in or not

Drinking just one type of wine limits you greatly.. and you dont have to spend $20+ a bottle for good wine.

Lol, I keep seeing you bring it back to who you know!

I love beer, and I love whiskey, and I love wine. Wine is an awesome drink.

Also, you have to bear in mind that a lot of us nerds spend a lot of time around people older than ourselves. It's possible I picked up the whiskey-drinking from them. But beer and wine is just delicious!

I dunno man, every white I've tried I've really not liked, even the cheapest red wine I've liked more than any white, they're just too bitter for me.

YOU know most people don't need to wait until they risk developing prostate cancer before they can appreciate fine beverages ?

Red stains my teeth and gives me a headache if i try to get drunk on it, also my favorite reds would be rather uneconomical to just chug so i'll usually go for red with food and white otherwise.

And rosé is for fake-tan clad clown-faced essex girls to get shitfaced on and pass out on the pavement with.

I prefer an glass of dry white as an aperitive or digestive (un p'tit blanc sec, Marcel), or with fish/dessert, and only drink red while eating. Red feels more intoxicating, especially on an empty stomach.
As for rosé, if I want something cold, I'd rather have a beer...

Yeah, and a great deal of the taste comes from that too! I agree, everyone should drink everything at all times though. 'cept rose wines, I've been burned by some cheapass ones and now just the sight makes me gag.

That's exactly opposite from my experience, I found dry whites (blanc sec) much lest fruity than red. An ultra dry white is like bitting a lemon.

I checked your location in your profile, and now I understand... I lived one year in the Midlands, and every wine tasted like syrup. Rosé was like grape soda. Ew... I guess it's more appealing to miniskirt wearing pubs' patrons.

Red, all the way... I can't really taste white or rose. It's very tasty. However the hangover caused *only* by red is horrible.

Red I guess. I dont want to sound like a drunk (mainly cause I'm underage and the only time i ever "drink" is in church), but i never really understood why it mattered on color and taste, especially since wine seems to come in more colours then red or white or rose.

Er yes bitter, that's what I meant >< had a brain fart there, but yeah wine here is shit, I never drink it out unless I'm in a restaraunt.I suppose theres not much point in selling decent stuff in pubs due to it being full of MANLY MEN, who wouldn't drink wine out.

Eh, I don't drink wine, the few wines I have tasted all got a proper awkward aftertaste in my opinion. Whiskey on the other hand, there's a drink one can enjoy!

...And I never really saw it as something younger people would drink, guess I was mistaken about that (though I only know of one girl at about my age who drinks wine voluntairily). Always saw it as a drink for those 'round their late 30's and into their 40's for some reason...
