Remaking FF7 would probably make me go into a rage.
BUT! I will admit that secretly, I want it for the voice acting.
What if we update the graphics and get a voice cast starring Isaiah Mustafa. Isaiah could be either Barret or Cloud, or anyone. Isaiah's like ketchup, he's good in anything he does, even if it's crap.

This thread really has no discussion value. Even thought Square Enix makes games published on the ps3 they are not exclusive, just look at FFXIII, its also on the Xbox 360. so Square Enix and Sony are not buddie ol pals. Even if it did happen, why would anyone thank Sony, they didnt do anything.
Yeah, but they're getting a lot of grief from the community of those who don't know who to be mad at. Might be a sufficient scapegoat.
I would really have to say Sony deserves the grief from the community for pissing people off.. But the Customers who use PSN didn't deserve it. You know now that i really think about it, The hackers should have went and tried to take down EA. EA has pissed of more people than Sony ever has.

Sony will be forgiven by me. After all, it's not their fault that they got hacked. That can happen to anyone.

As for a remake of Final Fantasy VII, I just want to say, why not VI or IX? Those games where so much better than VII. Don't get me wrong, VII is great. It had nice graphic and awesome music, but it could've been better. VI and IX had what VII didn't. They had better story, better developed characters (which also where more interesting to use, sicne they actually had different skills to use (like rage and sword techs.) and also, VII is overrated. VI and IX is overshadowed by this game, more or less. Bottomline, a remake of VII would be great, but a remake of VI and/or IX would be even awesomener (new word).

PS: FLAMESHIELD UP!

Thank you for saying it. I love FF 7 but 6 and 9 had better story's in my opinion. And remember if you do not agree then you hate ViVi. And if you hate ViVi you are going to hell!

No, it would make me hate them. It's fine how it is. Leave it be. Enix would just find some way to ruin it for everyone.
That's a needed option in the poll.
That's stupid. Enix only makes Dragon Quest games. Just face the fact that Square isn't what it used to be and leave enix outr of it.

Your poll options need work. They should finance a series of remakes to reclaim old fan.

I don't have anything against Sony. But if, I did, good lord no, it wouldn't be enough! That would make me hate them more. FF7 sucked!

It cannot be a coincidence that the last good FF was 10 and that was made by squaresoft and then they joined with enix and and now we have nothing but crap with the FF name slapped on the front.

That game wouldn't make a difference to me, never played the original and don't really intend to change that. Nothing that they can do would make me forgive them because I don't blame them. I blame Microsoft more than I blame Sony. Sony were probably trying to prevent this more than anyone else, so really the blame should lie on everyone but them, seeing as everyone else is potentially a suspect.

Even though its not Sony's fault, they really are trying to make up for it. Although I really hope they don't forget the PSP users also affected by this. Or even better, if there was some way to get the free stuff without connecting my PS3 to the PSN as I can't do that.

I don't blame Sony, and I only got my PS3 last week, so I really don't know what I'm missing yet.

All that said, they should give lots of free games.

That makes absolutely no categorical sense as compensation.

SE has also said on multiple occasions re-creating the game would be rather absurd with todays tech.

I would rather receive a 16 bit sprite version of FFVII in lieu of FFVI rather than a next gen version just because it's a lot more feasible and they'd be able to do it in a quicker time frame, and probably be able to add content.

I'm surprised so many people don't blame Sony. The hack wasn't their fault but they could have reacted a lot better. There were people all over claiming that they had money stolen from them.
Of course nobody knows if those claims are genuine but that mess could have been avoided if Sony had just been upfront with everyone.
I just can't trust a company that takes several days to tell its consumers that their credit cards may be at risk.
