At one point I would probably get bored with killing people in funny ways. That's when I would solve all the worlds problems. In return for virgin sacrifices of course.
I would be a great god for some and a really bad one for the most. I have only one motto:

Instead of praying you would have to gather on sundays to play tabletops. Christmas is the Beginning, so you have to start a new game character. On easter we celebrate the day xx_Jebus42 got noobkilled and respawned, so it's a religious week of online gaming. And holidays are variable depending on new releases so my people have enough time off to play after a new game release.

eh i'd flip back n forth...eventually i'd have enough wisdom to do the right thing, but at first i know that someone, somewhere, would piss me clear the fuck off, and id launch a fucking tsunami wave on their location.

I'm a nice guy, yeah, but I don't think that would make me a good God. I can tell you one thing, though.
No one would harm another person, and if you did, you would be punished. I would not tolerate it. At all. If you aren't a brother to your fellow man, then you don't deserve your existence.

I think I'd be a fun if chaotic god. Excuse the D&D geek in me but my portfolio would be fashion, mystique and decadence (not that any of these are actual D&D deity portfolios).
My followers must have no less than 50 wigs, 50 names and 50 different personalities and must always seek to disrupt social standards of presentation and norms wherever they go n.n
They can never be known by the same name in more than one place ... and they must always maintain their different personas without pulling rank from their other personalities ... So if you're a Member of Parliament in one seat, you may never use any resources or political power for influence in another town.
So I guess my religion with me as an *active* god would be a super-anarchistic religion with no possibility for central authority or governance beyond city states.
Oh and my other ethos would be to worship thyself (decadence that knows no bounds), mystique (because nobody should know the real you at birth), and FASHION (Because clothes are fun ^_^).

Immortal people that forged the world, (or were born/became immortal somehow and overthrew the makers of the world) and have running battles, affairs, petty rivalries and play games; the kinds of gods that make stupid mistakes and like to show-off. They usually just were. they existed as states of nature or as ordinary people become powerful.
Worshipping was just what you did to avoid annoying them or to ask for their support.
Anyway I could just be an exaggerated version of myself in no particular way evil and not persistently good, often petty and argumentative but overall reasonable. I'd probably be some kind of fate god because actual worshippers would annoy me no end.
The very humanity of these sorts of gods makes them way more interesting then some pristine unquestionable good\evil deity.

Given infinite power and influence? The ability to control reality as I see fit? Yeah, I'd be a total bastard. But I'd probably be a bastard on a Godly scale. Why bother tormenting people here on good old Earth? I'm a God! I'm off to the next galaxy to play a game of pool with planets for balls and black holes for pockets! See ya later, puny mortals....
