I would go. It'd be so interesting finding all sorts of stuff, finding all sorts of stuff that proves 'fact's' to be untrue, or stuff that is worth shitloads. Sounds like fun, and then i find the face-huggers.

The area of space that I could explore in my lifetime would be a blank void of absolute nothing.

So no.
I would love to go out into space... but I gotta say no for the same reasons. =[

Now... If we had established contact, and I was to be an ambassador of some sort, along with faster than light travel, then yesh, yesh i would. =3

Explore, so to speak. I'm already practically a hermit, so it wouldn't be much different riding around in a giant void or in giant pretty lights and gases. Getting picked up by hostile aliens would suck though...

It would depend on a number of things, but I'd probably go. It's one thing I regret about the time I live in...we'll never really find out what's out there.

Couldn't go alone, though.

I'm more on the stay on earth so I can travel threw the progression of time in a non-linar fashion then the travel the unknowns of the universe transverse unknown beauty and horrors. I get lost on my way from my keys to the door too often to need to explore the possible unknown, when the known is unknown to me.

The entire point of exploration is to be able to return and gain fame and fortune from what you've discovered. If I have a choice between staying on earth, or traveling through space till I die, I choose staying on earth.

People who would choose to travel through space alone for the rest of their days are either extraordinarily anti-social, or just plain suicidal.

Why not? It's not like my efforts in space exploration could possibly be less meaningless than life here on earth.

My initial reaction was EXPLORE! EXPLORE! But I'd never leave my girlfriend or family behind. If she wasn't coming, I'd stay (and she wouldn't want to come with, I know that). So, I guess I'll leave the exploring to you young whippersnappers... ;)

Yes. Yes i would. My only friends are on the Internet - i doubt they would miss me too much. And family is not too big deal either, especially considering Adolf Hitler my brother.

Fuck this planet, i'm going into space.

I doubt it'd be that great, most planets are just different coloured rocks after all. There'd be nothing rreally worth exploring and definitely not worth abandoning my life and being alone for.

Go to space. My family aren't all that important, and i'd probably take my girlfriend with me, so its all good.
