-Brainwash again to believe any non North Korean are monster or inferior (seriously they got a museum of the Korea War that portray them as heroes while the American are salvage monster that throw babies into the river).
Interesting choice of words since there is photographic evidence of US soldiers doing just that among other things. Saw it once in a documentary about N.Korea's accusation of war crimes done by UN, but mostly US soldiers. (Of course, you cant sue USA for war crimes, they are exempted in UN agreement. I'm not kidding)

North Korea. At least you can be honest person there and live like the others. (I see honesty means nothing to anyone here) Also people are friendly bunch which is more important then all the money in the world.
Define "honestly".

If they were all honest then maybe they should of told them that not everyone outside of North Korea are as bad as they made it out to be. Sure that portrayal is true but that doesn't mean all Americans are like that.

Ok I can get being a regular citizen living over there but at the end of the day they are still living in lies and shutting themselves off to the rest of the worlds as they clearly do need support from other nations just like we all do.

The same documentry with the museum had a humanitarian specialist visit them to operate those who had a grey clouds like substance stuck in the comea in the eye (can't remember the exact name of the condition but it's cause by malnourishment which reinforce their salvation problems).
The specialist work tireless as he operates as many as he can (only like like three days to do so) without a moment to rest.
Days later when they take their blindfold off, they were able to see again and they all praising a picture Kim Jong-il (he wasn't in the room) as if he was Jesus. Now that part is mess up as clearly they should of thank the humanitarian specialist not Kim Jong-il.

Don't get me wrong, people aren't living well in N. Korea, but they're far richer per person than Uganda. The threat of death is also not quite so imminent, and you can have access to a standard of living that includes a bed to sleep on.
In the last famine in the DPRK, it has been estimated that between 800,000 and 1.5 million people died due to starvation, disease, or sickness caused by lack of food. In 2012, the DPRK is experiencing famine again. At least there is no famine in Uganda.

I'd rather live in N. Korea because at least with all the brainwashing and what not I would think I was enjoying myself...

North Korea unquestionably has a better standard of living. I'd say there's almost no comparison.
Says who? Kim?

North Kore. Definitly north korea. All you have to do is kiss up to the great leader and you'll be fine.
If by "fine" you mean "you will starve to death" then yes, that would be correct.

Indeed.

Now I actually have an interesting story about Uganda. Our family friend, let's call her Alice as this is quite personal, lived in Uganda as a little girl. Her father was a business man. A building contractor. He was closely associated with Idi Amin before it came out that he was a grade A wanker, and she met him on numerous occasions. There's a fairly famous picture of him being carried by a bunch of white business men

Alice's father is the rightmost one. Anyway, he disappeared. Alice has since been back to Uganda, and tried to clear his name because he's been fairly villainized. She's met a lot of interesting people including a formerly very shady man who amassed a fortune who's dying of cancer and has taken a turn trying to help people. He's using connections to dig up information.

From what's been unearthed, Alice's father was forced to build torture equipment for Amin, and then killed because he knew too much. She's now trying to get back her family villa, but the local warlord's witch doctor is squatting in it, which is causing complications.

Sounds like a movie, but it's all true.

I'd probably live in Uganda, and join the military. That should protect me from being killed by the military or by any warlords (unless of course I get killed in action), plus I'm pretty sure their soldiers don't starve. North Korea's just not my cup of tea...
Yeah, the military over there has been accused of raping it's members. Its kinda common.

[small]...Awkward[/small]
Raping its own members?! Wtf? I thought it was all about raping random civilians! And isn't Uganda one of those nations that heavily looks down on homosexuality (I'm a guy)?
In any culture that looks down on homosexual sex, it will happen. Which is why the catholic church had that massive scandal, or most armies that don't like gay people, have a long history of gay members.

They just hide it.

Sounds like the perfect destination for a summer holiday trip with the kids, eh?

Man, that's brutal.
I think I'd just about rather live there than North Korea, though.

At least I could badmouth the warlords when they're out of the room.

North Korea, the standard of living (although laughably overstated) is unquestionably better than Ugandan. Plus the heat.... THE HEAT.

Uganda, go run into the Jungle. Have a chance at survival in the bush.

North Korea, just go hungry and die.

Even thought there are some hot North Korean women, I'll definetely go for Uganda.
I already live in Venezuela so that gives me a headstart in knowing how to survive. Either way, if I get tired of Uganda, I can escape to good ol' Kenya.

Still, it shouldn't happen significantly more than average. It's not like gay people flock to Uganda, so at best the Ugandan military should have an average amount of homosexual rape compared to similar nations.

Oh well, I get a gun and a uniform, plus my higher level of education might make it easier for me to become an officer. I assume officers are probably safer from rape...

This feels like that anarchy vs. despotism argument again and I'll say the same thing that I said there. I'd rather live in a place where I at least knew what the dangers to my life would be (N.Korea) than live in a place where I could be murdered/raped/recruited to fight for militia a-z, watch the people I love be murdered or raped on any given day with absolutely no provocation and with almost 0 chance that whoever does it will be caught (any number of countries like Uganda).

On top of all the issues with randomly bein murdered and whatnot by random people on the street, Uganda still has the issue of horrid governmental abuse of power. People still get spirited off to be tortured and many times killed, just like in N.Korea. The only plus is that it is "easier" to get the hell out of Uganda because their borders aren't nearly as locked down as N.Koreas are.

So... i can either go to a country where i will be 'spirited away' at the first possible opportunity.

Or i can can go to a country where i will be killed.

shall i flip a coin?

I wanna say uganda. in NK, there's no chance of escape. any thought of escape would lead to a run in with the thought police, or just other people (like in 1984). in uganda, i can at least fight my way out. this is what i don't get; all those kids Kony has rounded up have guns right? why can't they band together and turn on the bastard and his cohorts? a bullet is a bullet and Kony isn't god, just kill the bastard and run, no one's gonna find him out in the jungle.

i guess i'm visualizing uganda too must like the wild west where the man with the quickest hand and bigger gun rule, but isn't it like that? that's how warlords get their power, and thats how bandits in the wild west operated. i'd definitely take my chances somewhere where i at least had a fighting chance. besides, you know i'd try to save those kids.

I accidentally picked N Korea, when I meant Uganda. Curse my indecisiveness and then regretting it immediately afterwards when writing this reply...
"Uganda, where's that?" "Africa!" "Oh boy, like Lion King!"
And Uganda has the book of Arnold, the world's newest Mormon-based religion!
Seriously, though, I would rather have freedom with no substance with outside influence, and the chance of finding someone willing to take me to Egypt, Botswana, or South Africa would just rely on the ability to make money, instead of Party Compliance. And the people speak English, which would make it easier to communicate (As I don't know Korean).
Also, I could find out whether Kony is alive or not!
