Sony's going to release a PSP 2 or something that has (hopefully) a second analog stick

Get the DSi. It's already out in Japan, i.e. it actually exists (as opposed to the XBox handheld).

DSi is a given, but I would like to see what an XBox handheld would entail before dismissing out of hand. They've done a fairly good job with Live and Arcade; this could be an avenue of functionality lacking in the DS stable that XBox already has some expertise in. Granted, that's mere speculation on my part, but it'd be interesting, for sure.

As a Nintendo fanboy, I voted Xbox based on what it could potentially be. I think the DSi is a load of horse shit, and the chances of me buying a currently non-existent handheld are significantly higher than buying this "upgrade" to the DS.

On past performance an Xbox handheld will probably explode and blow your hands off, so the DSi it is...

Depends on the Xbox handheld honestly. I know what I'd be getting with the DSi, but the Xbox handheld is nothing but a mystery. I'd wager it'd go the route of the PSP and give me little more than bad ports with the occasional gem, making it little more than a fairly expensive paperweight.

Xbox Handheld. It seems like what they're doing with the DSi is taking the tiny things that made the DS decent are ruining them. Also, most DS games absolutely blow goats so I think that Microsoft would come out with better games.

DS Lite for me. Seriously though, I'm looking to buy a Lite because there are some old games I want and the DS Lite is cheaper than the DSi (I hope there's a price drop soon).

MS might do something interesting with an Xbox hand-held after seeing what's happened with the PSP. But they'll probably end-up doing some weird DS-PSP-iPhone (yes, iPhone) hybrid system that, while technically awesome, fails miserably.

Neither.

Well to be fair both will probably have really bad games. Pokemon and metroid prime fair enough, but that's the only two handheld games that I've seen to work. I'm sticking to my PC for now.

I wouldn't mind seeing a decent microsoft handheld, but look at the PSP... say what you want about it's abilities, and power, and whatnot, Nintendo owns the handheld market.
Microsoft probably won't put the effort into a handheld because it would be even more of a financial loss than what the Xbox 360 was, and probably won't have the long term ability to get out of the red like the 360 has. Unless it could play Halo: CE flawlessly, and that's bit of a stretch for current times. So a MS handheld is a pipe dream right now.

Nintendo owns the handheld market. Period.

Kewl. A second stick would be nice :D (Googling it :p)

(Wow, unbelievable that a non-existing console has more votes than a DS with 2 cameras )
