There are two people that I guess you could consider tied for the coveted title of "my best friend." One's male and the other is female.

Oh, and I'm a bro, by the way.

I'm male, my best friend in primary was a girl, since then we're not best friends anymore and the closest thing I can consider a best friend is a boy, i'm 15, however my primary school was 70% girls and my secondary school is 98% boys soo yeah...

I'm 15 and my best friend is male. He and I share similar interests and are rather odd people. The funny thing is that our quirks complement each other's perfectly.

I'm Female(21) - my 'best' friend is Female. Alas, she's the only Female friend I have (i.e see, hang out with, drink with, talk with)
All my other friends who I do this with are Male, I have the added bonus I play games with these lot, too.

She's always been my friend, and I've been friends with the Males for 6ish years, but when I was 'group friend' hopping in school days, it was always Males I got along and friends with.
Crikey, I should really look at profiles more often. Since when were you a girl?! XD
Lawd, this isn't the first time either...
Lmfao! It's ok, you're not the first and I doubt will be the last to think that ;D
Argh, this is why sometimes I think it should be perfectly fine to do things like dress boys in blue and girls in pink and whatnot. XD

I'm 21, female, and my best friend is my boyfriend. Doesn't really help your case, I don't think. :p

EDIT: I only have one friend who is a girl, all of the rest are guys. My second best friend is one of the guys.

My best friend is a chap. First chap I met at school in Year 2, and I've stuck with him into Year 10 now. (I'm a 15 year old manly man man. Honest.)

All the people in our little friendship group[footnote]I've yet to find a less...girly name than 'friendship group'. Apart from names like mandem crewage, gang, or posse, which I sound ridiculous saying.[/footnote] are chaps, I don't know why...we all have girl friends, they just never hang around with us.
I honestly cannot picture you as a big bad Arnold man with that avatar. It is beyond my brain's ability I am afraid :( Maybe you could call it... "our guy's group", not too ridiculous, although mandem crewage does sound awesome, and not girly either.

And you are 15?! Last time I saw you post your age you were thirteen, hot damn does time fly.
Yeah, I must search for something else...
*flash of light*
EUREKA!

Well, almost 15. Very close. >.>
Time has indeed flown, and I feel exactly the same, but now with a regular need to shave. XD
There was nothing wrong with your avatar, it just wasn't mucho :p Hey, if ever a girl likes you because she thinks you are cute, then you can be your normal self around her and her opinion will stay the same, try to be over the top bicep-splosion to get a girl and you will have to keep that up.

And yeah, shaving can be a bastard with a bad sense of humour. Particularly when your teachers notice you haven't done it when you should have XD

I've posted in the poll as 'I have no friends', which is a lie, because quite frankly I don't have a best friend, so simply discount one vote there and add it to what you think is more appropriate. I have plenty of friends, but not one I'd call my best one, though it's a roughly equal divide between guys and girls as to the number of friends I have. I lived with two girls this year, and went drinking sometimes mainly with the lads. On the whole though, my best friends through my childhood and teen years were almost always guys, aside from one girl I had a crush on who was arguably my best friend in my first primary school...

But yeah, mostly guys here. And I'm a guy too.

All my good friends are girls, except for a few guys here and there. Depends on what's going on for who among them is the best friend of the moment. But they're all my really good friends, trust 'em all as far as I can punch them in the face.

I have some friends that are girls, and for several years before I moved I my best friend was a girl, and we are still in contact, but right now my best friend is another guy. I could see having a best friend who is a girl and it not being romantic. However it often turns out that one person starts to want something more if they are both heterosexual. and that can ruin the friendship if it doesn't end well.

I'm female, and... I have three friends that are "best friends" in some capacity. Two are female, one is male. (So I voted "female with a female best friend," to go with the majority).

But all my close friends other than my two female best friends are male. So... -shrug-

Oh, of course of course. Over the top bicep-splosionness must be tiring. XD

...E gads I'm a dirty teenaged bastard. I immediately thought of a foxy lady teacher checking in my pants. XD

My one friend is a very big, strong guy. I am 178cm and he is half a head taller than me when he slouches. He has girls falling all over him (admittedly very strange stalkerish ones though) and even he can't convince himself to get to the gym without getting distracted by a fast food store (literally not joking -.-). So yes, tiring indeed :p

Teacher: Okay everyone, dress-code inspection!
*walks up to your desk and winks*
Teacher: I'm afraid you are going to need a very special inspection today...
*much unzipping later*
Teacher: Keep quiet class, I need to make sure that he... shaves properly. They say it can take up to 15 minutes to get it done just right.

That probably didn't help. And you think you are dirty XP

I'm 15, I'm a guy and I currently have no friends, or best friends for that matter, but the majority of my best friends were guys, with the exception of two, one of my earliest bets friends and my ex girlfriend who was my latest best friend.

Crikey. Sounds awful. XD

Man, I can imagine Foxy Planner-signing Lady doing that now. She was some sort of intern person, but the only thing she ever seemed to do was come around in the morning and sign our planners to make sure we'd written down homework and things. She was hot. XD
