I would normally keep it, the exception being at work. $10 is not worth potentially maybe possibly losing a job.
So?
A few years ago, one of my co-worker at a gas station... (seriously, i can't recall his name. I really wish i could. I think he's call Andre) Pull a big pile of twenty dollars bill. He dropped 2 on the floor while picking a something up. I think it was gum. He was just showing up because he did something incredibly stupid (aka: leaving a "I shouldn't have work on your birthday nor replace you. Your lucky!" note to a place where the boss goes everyday.) and wanted to get back at me. It didn't work... but i pick the 40$ without a care in the world. My boss knew about this but didn't do anything. I treated some friends with it.

...Can it be £10, or would I have to convert it to dollars?

I'm more likely the one to drop £10, never mind find it. If I did, I'd keep it, then karma would punish me about 20 times for doing so.
At least I'd get a Subway out of it...

Maybe glance around, see if anybody looks like they're looking for something, and if not, then I'll pick it up.

My inner poor person is well nurtured so there's no way in hell I'd let $10 be misplaced so I'd keep it... unless someone comes by and is asking about a misplaced ten, then I would return it.

I would keep it but I would be disappointed as well because $10 is not that much when converted into pounds.

It's ten fucking dollars. I'm not poor and pathetic enough to jerk off over small change. I'd rather have to buy my own lunch for the day than be disgusted with myself.

If you see the person drop it, then you ought to give it back. If it's a substantial amount then wait to see if it's claimed.

Otherwise, finders keepers losers weepers.

I can't really say for sure, as it all depends on where it was (if it was in wal-mart where I'd have no idea where to go to turn it in, then I'd keep it. If it was a small shop where the owner was likely still there, I might turn it in) and if I knew who it belonged to (I'd turn it over to the owner in a heartbeat).

I once saw £10 on the floor, but it had a withdrawal receipt with it so I took it back to the bank, figuring that they could identify whose it was. I got a call from them after a while and they said that I could have it, which I thought was nice of them. If it hadn't had a receipt with it then I would have kept it, though.

Would keep it seeing as it's only a small amount of money. Any high I would. Unless it was in the street. It would be to much trouble.

Any time I find money on the street I tend to try to spend it on someone else not just my self so someone else can benfit from the good luck!
Agreed, although I'm not afraid to admit that I've used money I found on the ground on myself.

If it belonged to someone i know : return it (and pop in a cheeky "you owe me a drink")
If recently dropped and i saw it happen: return it
Unattended money regardless to who is watching: YOINK! :D!!
