THIS IS NOT YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE ABOUT DOOMSDAY, JUST THE ONE YOU WOULD PREFER!

Which end-o-the-world scenario would you like to go out in? List the pros and why you would enjoy your choice over others. Here is a clarification of the different types of doomsdays (that I could remember).

Robot Uprising: Technology realizes that they're better than squishy humans and revolt. Includes both robots and modern technology. (ex: I, Robot; Terminator)

Zombie Plague: The dead suddenly rise from the grave by supernatural or technological means. This ONLY includes the classic Romero-style zombie, ie, slow, stupid, and love brains. If you choose a different type, specify. (ex: Dawn of the Dead; Resident Evil 2)

World War 3: Every country on earth decides to atomize each other, starting an apocalyptic war ending with the earth becoming a lifeless wasteland devoid of law. (ex: Fallout; Mad Max)

Giant Meteor: The Earth is about to be struck by some cosmic anomaly that will has a 100% chance of hitting the earth. You only have a set amount of time to live before KABLOOEY. (ex: That Movie Where Bruce Willis Blows Up A Meteor Using His Awesome)

Nature Strikes Back: For some reason, be it Mayan predictions or other, Earth decides to go apeshit. Maybe the planet goes through some drastic enviromental shift or animals start attacking randomly. (ex: The Birds; 2012)

Mars Attacks!: Aliens invade Earth and start wiping us our with their superior technology. (ex: Independance Day; War of the Worlds)

OT: I believe mine would be the World War 3. Lets put it like this: I live in Arkansas. ARKANSAS. Nobody has or ever will care about Arkansas! We're the Yoko Ono of the US! If the U.S. gets bombed, we'll be the last people China even considers nuking. Plus, I loathe the human race, and it's needed a good trimming for the past century.

None of those. Mine would be the planet running out of natural resources and all currency/homes becoming worthless.

The one I would prefer? Probably an asteroid strike. Not only is it really damn cool to think about, but it would probably do really well at brining earth back to its roots. It would seriously give us a wicked clean slate to work with. Almost nothing would survive it but at the same time it wouldn't make the world uninhabitable like a lot of other doomsday outcomes.

Zombie plague has the highest survivability, and the most fun capacity.

Robot uprising, then atleast some form of sentience would survive.

Out of interest does that mean you hate yourself and your family & friends too?

I think that the human race is the worst thing to happen to the planet Earth. We as a species are instinctivly violent, greedy, and selfish. I'm not saying that all people are evil, since many people have managed to move past that. Most people, however, don't deserve any sympathy. I know that sounds kinda sociopathic, but even I admit that I'm not perfect, and I'm probably damaging the Earth and it's creatures just be existing. I just learn to live with that.

I think a zombie plague would be most likely to burn out without too many casualties. The other scenarios would be very likely to wipe out everybody, or billions of people. In case of zombie attack, hopefully the humans would overwhelm the zombies while the people still have a numerical advantage.

Even if everyone is ultimately killed by the zombies, it would be interesting to fight the zombies for a while before I die.

Zombies. But only an L4D style outbreak (the whole virus thing with immune carriers, not the zombies themselves) with slow, dumb zombies, and my cool friends and I would all be immune. 'Twould be awesome.

I have to say, my personal preference is Mars Attacks!

At least those off us who have been playing lightgun games all our lives will be able to defend against the alien hordes. I am also stocking up on Slim Whitman albums just in case. Never can be too careful...

Except that in a real zombie apocalypse it's far more likely you would just be nasty red bits stuck between the teeth of one or more zombies. Not just you specifically but anyone. Lots of people say they would survive, some even have plans, but very few of those people and even fewer of their plans would get through the first week.

Either WW3 or Nature fight back.

With WW3 if I did survive the atomic bombing I would adopt a loner type of lifestyle.

With nature fight back, if I did believe in 2012 then all I have to do is buy a scuba suit with a full oxgyen tank and sit on the beach (I live in a costal town) waiting for the gaint tsumani. Chances are however even if I am prepared I probably get killed from the tidal impact and the force of being shove back and forth inside the current. If that doesn't happen then what the chance of survival once it over (I assuming any food of been destory by that).

I'm with this guy. We should also evacuate Buenos Aires and get all the Macs we can get our hands on! Also water-guns and mud.

Now where is my airlock?
[sub]Name all the movies I referred to and the video you get something of your choice.[/sub]

Surprising as it may seem, for all our faults we humans are far more moral than any other animal. Even your average chimpanzees will eat each other babies if they get the chance and studies have shown that unlike humans they will very rarely help each other even if they don't stand to lose anything from it. I think its beautiful that the human race in general has managed to banish this sort of "only me" mentality. While we don't always stick to our morals, we are still the only animals that have them to start with.
