Despite the different jokers I've seen I have to go with [God help me]Heath Ledger.
Although I completely HATED the dark knight, I think he really sold it. He played his role very well, and the fact that he died kind of makes it perfect. I'm not sure why, but if he was still around I most likely wouldn't think so highly of his role in the movie.

Mark Hamil's Joker is the best. Hilarious yet creepy at the same time. He was perfect in Batman Arkham Asylum. You were never quite sure how he was going to act next.

Of course you wouldnt, no one would.

Heath Ledger dieing, is the best thing that happened to The Dark Knight. If he didnt die, it wouldnt have done half as good.

Mark Hamill by far. Let me ask you one question, what voice do you think when you think the joker?

Plus....that goddamn laugh...

I enjoyed all the different takes on the Joker character but Mark Hamill was always the real joker to me, mainly because when I was a kid I watched the animated series way before the films and that was Hamill's voice. Another reason would be to do with the fact that in every other media excluding the films and the Batman Begins knock off T.V series its been Mark, every game as had mark.

Arkham Asylum one. Still very much Joker-like with the typical Joker make-up and all, without destroying his credibility as a serious villain like the Nicholson Joker did (at least for me).

Mark Hamill will always be the Joker for me. I still hear the Joker's laughter behind every time I hear microphone feedback (if you can remember Batman Beyond, you may be able to understand).

I grew up with it, so Mark Hamill with Heath Ledger as a close second.

They were both just so different and Mark Hamill is pretty much known career wise as either Luke Skywalker or the Joker.

Mark Hamill is, and always will be, the best joker. Heath is a close second though. But you also have to look at the Joker in the media he's being portrayed in, Mark Hamill was the best voice for the Joker, but Heath Ledger (I believe) was the best movie portrail; even above Jack's.

lol, it's all good.
I don't think it developed well.
What I mean is, it started out great and strong, but the joker was the only real strong point.
Near the end of the movie I was half asleep and wanted it to just end already.
And then I made the mistake of buying it on DvD, and every time one of my friends sits down and watches it, I find myself hating it more and more.

So honestly, it's probably just me.
I don't like it.

The joker from the animted 90's series and the 2005 animated series were both great (naturally this is a fair fight, as in completely stacked in my favour!).
So Mark Hamill as the 90's animated Joker.

Having said the Mr Ledger's is the most believable joker, Nicholson's one was a walking cartoon but it's entirely possible there's a man like the Dark Knight's Joker wandering the streets of the world, or several. He's also the scariest, he's the only comic book movie bad guy so far that is actually terrifying and uncomfortable to watch.

I can understand that. The Joker [i/]was[/i] the main strong point of the whole movie and I thought it was a little weird when Heath Ledger won best [b/]supporting[/b] actor when he had more lines than Batman in a fucking Batman movie.

But, that was really what they were going for. A movie that focused on the rise of The Joker.

Oh, well.

Heath. He just made Joker seem as psychoctic, deranged, and twisted as he's suppose to be.
and Hamill's joker didn't do that?
I must remind you of the Joker Toxin

Cesar Romero!

Random fact: it's hard to see, but his Joker has a mustache. He refused to shave it so they covered it with makeup.

I hated The Dark Knight too. It was boring and Heath Ledger was really a pretty crap joker compared to Jack or Hamill.

Also, Two-Face should have had his own movie. They did the same thing with Spiderman 3. Venom is the greatest know Spiderman villan and they gave him about 10mins of screen time b4 killing him off. Bad move.

Jack Nicholson, hands down the best.

He did the joker well, I really didnt like Heath Ledgers Joker. The Joker shouldnt be dark and creepy, he should be out there, over the top and funny(sort of). Jacks had perfect make up, it was solid white, strong green hair and just looked the part 100%.

I so, so wish that the Revolver with the fucking long barrel was in the Dark Knight... but i knew it wouldnt be.
That gun was forged by Chuck Norris actually.

I went with Jack, he had the most style in his performance.
