German sounds awesome to swear in, but is actually fairly tame in content. Afrikaans (South Africanised Dutch) can sound positively filthy. English is fantastic to swear in, because its widely understood and relatively easy to be profane.

"FUCK!" takes my vote for its versatility and fun (both for saying and performing) but its also awesome if you can string a whole bunch of fantastic swearwords together.

I'm a connoisseur of curse words; here is my first;


And my second is the ever immortal "CLUSTERFUCK!"

**** is the only swear word that actually shocks anymore. People have become desensitised to swearing, and I often get told that '****' is too harsh a word.

True. It's really strange considering it would be no different from calling someone a dick, which is used so often it's hardly considered a swear anymore.

I'm actually fond of the term "bloody" and "fuck." The first happened because I was going through an Anglophile phase. The second? I don't really know. One time, I found myself enjoying saying "fuckers."

Bastard is another common term but not so much because I like it as it's what I said to keep from getting into too much trouble.

Catches people off guard, gets laughs, and as a whole can be said with as much vehemence as 'Bastard'. It's also versatile. Calling people a "double" anything is good- I'm sure we all know the famous one.

I think Wanker is my favorite, and the one I have the most versions of.
'Wanker', 'Sir Wanks-A-Lot', 'Wankbiscuit', 'Wankdoodle', the list goes on.

I also tend to shriek 'Merde' whenever I trip/hurt myself. It gets me weird looks.

ugh, it sucks that you only included british swear words. My favorite is ************. In quebecois french, my favorite is tabernac I only use the word **** when I'm gaming competitively and socially. Like playing Settlers or Zombies, when someone gets one over on you, and it's a particularly good one, then it's ok to call them a ****. But never a woman, because Canadian women get really offended by that.
