In the Netherlands people swear a lot with diseases. Cancer being the most used around the uneducated (working class). I try my best not to use any disease swear because its just horrible.
No, I prefer terms like jesus-fucking-christ, or goddammit!! Because that only pisses of the people that believe in fairy tales. The people that actually need to get cussed out!

These days I've taken to using 'satan', instead of 'faen' which is the norwegian equivalent of 'fuck' in its genericness.

Probably 'bullshit' or '************.'

The latter pops up in a lot of my songs so I'm used to[sub]rapping[/sub]singing it. If I wanted something smaller I'd say 'sonofabitch' or 'fuck.'
Now where's that video of Stephen Fry on swearing?

Tough call, I use so many of them and I love them all so dearly. It's like choosing a favorite child, but when forced to make a choice I have to go with "ass".
It may not have the bite of other words, but it's still awesome.

****. Every other swear word has been taught to pre-teen Americans from late night TV and mature games, so they're overused as fuck. ****, however, can't be used by a nation outside of the commonwealth regions without the user sounding like...like a ****. Since 90% of the online gaming community is made up of Americans, it makes **** not only a fantastically eloquent word, but also a symbol of the user's background.

I love ****.

The word 'Damn'. It's short, sweet, kinda light for a curse word, but let's face it; Pretty Cool. Plus it starts with the letter D, one of the coolest letters in the alphabet.

This message was brought to you by the letter

Well, while I do throw around the f word in serious cases of anger or alike, I tend to say crap, bloody, damn and dick allot. The first three aren't really counted as swears and that's why I tend to use them.

I use simple insignificant ones (too) frequently, such as damn, bloody or bollocks. And when drunk I migrate to harder ones such as shit, fuck and bastard.

I studiously avoid the more meaningful derogatory words though, even when intoxicated, including the misogynistic ones such as c***, and lighter ones like calling something 'gay'. We have enough words to vent anger with without oppressing people at the same time.

for me it is father fucker for these two reasons:
1. it surprises most people
2. if you say it to a guy it implies homosexuality (which most people are insulted by but not me) and incest

You add "*****" to the end of anything, that sentence becomes more awesome.

"I'd like some fries with that, *****!"

"Twenty dollars on pump 3, *****!"

and of course, "I'm the Juggernaut *****!"

Cursing/Swearing is a big part of how we use language and how we use it to express ourselves.
I was wondering what your guys' favourite curse words are and why you use them and like them.
My most used are 'fuck', 'bastard' and 'bloody' by far. I'm aware some people don't feel that 'bloody' is a real swear word but I use it as a softer version of 'fuck'.
That being said my favourite swear is still '****'. I don't use it as often because it's not greatly versatile but when I do I feel as if I have such power. Nothing feels better when it comes to relieving stress than shouting "FUCKING ****!" when you're horribly angry.

If you don't swear or completely object to it then why? It's completely understandable I just want to know people's reasons.
****, obviously. But it has to be pronounced 'CAAAANT' like a Cockney geezer.
