Well, Bioshock 2 was great and Minecraft was pretty neat, but Mass Effect 2 still takes the award, because it was awesome.

Let's pray they release Mass Effect 3 late next year...

Hard to say....

Mass Effect 2 wins for immediate pick up and play good times.
Civ 5 wins for long term enjoyment.

However, I expect my personal game of the year will be Rock Band 3. Only time with the game will tell if that's true.

I'm not entirely sure if you're joking or not, but I'm hoping you are. Although, I am really anxious to try out Mass Effect 2 in January now, took long enough to port to PS3. I'm just worried I'm not gonna understand the storyline as I haven't played 1 and probably never will unless I win the lottery and can buy a 360.

OT: I'm going with Fallout:NV because it is the only game I have from this year and I am loving it

Lotta sequels on this list. I always find it hard to pick a sequel as a 'Game of the Year' because I've almost always played the previous game, and therefore know what to expect. Oh wait! Bayonetta came out this year in everywhere but Japan, so I can pick that! If that's not good enough, I've been mainlining Vanquish for the last thirty hours and really need to get back to that.

Well, I still have one game left to buy for sure this year in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhoood (which we can go ahead and shorten to Ass Bros).

I love you, just because of your nick name for AC:B. I will commence using said nickname, if that's alright with you.

I can't really make a decision at the moment, because my second contender (Ass Bros) has yet to be released.

For the time being, I'd say Halo: Reach.

We've got to spread the word that it's going to be called Ass Bros. It's a ready-made name for both haters and for people who'll love the game but still have a sense of humor

I sort of think you forgot a pretty major title here...

How about StarCraft II ?? It's already flung out tens of thousands of dollars in prize money for tournaments, it's already got tons, and tons of sponsored players, you've got people moving across the globe to play in tournaments...

And it's like 2 months old (not counting beta).. .

How did that game not make it to "your" top 7?

If not Fallout New Vegas, then I would definitely pick Minecraft. None of the others had the creativeness of Minecraft but I give Fallout the edge for how good I find it to be even with the glitches.

Mass Effect 2, although AssCreedBros is out next week so it's going to be a tough competition.

On a side-note, this year has gone really fucking fast.

AssCreedBros (Hehe) is out next month on the 19th of November. Sorry to break the bad news.
