I'd probably force myself into pressing the button to kill myself.

I've got some childhood trauma that makes me hate average-looking middle-aged men with a passion, so I'd most likely push that button before I could stop and think about what I was doing.

Of course with my luck, I'd wind up pushing the wrong one by mistake...

Can we get some more creative games, instead of the same old uncreative thing over and over in a different dress, please?

Refuse decision. No one can force me to decide. What does that mean for the poll? No one can force me to vote :)
I'd like to echo this. These "moral dilemmas" are getting old. Surely there are more ambiguous situations you can think of.

Also, I'd either touch nothing and get into the other room to tell the others what's happening, or bang on the glass to try and get their attention. While I'm at it I'd probably try to disable the controls somehow so no one could trigger the trap.

-"So, you have a choice, either kill ten strangers or-"

-*pushes button* "What was the other option?"

But in all seriousness, if I killed myself for those ten people, the fuck that set this up will probably kill them anyway.

I'd press the button to kill them, but I would feel like shit and guilty for the rest of my life. I'd like to say I'd do the noble thing and kill myself, but I'm a coward.

Heartless jerks. The agony of letting them die would be far more painful then dieing myself. Of course since there's not timer, why can't I just do nothing?

The strangers die. I know who I am and that I have people who'd be sad if I died. So you know what? I'm saving myself for them, and the strangers might have no one to love them. So, I'm not feeling guilty.

Kill the strangers and I would not feel bad either, The human will to survive is very very strong. There will be people here who take the moral highground and say what I just said was terrible.

The fact is this unless you have ever had a near death experience which I have, then you don't know how strong the will to survive is, you will literally do anything. Sure in your cosy warm house safely behind yuor computer you might like to think you would do the 'good thing' but when the adrenaline is pumping through your veins you will do anything to survive.
Hey, you experienced a near death situation... arent you special? Oh wait no you arent, but you are running your mouth as though you are. I've been stabbed, starved, hit by a car and had my chest crushed... and I can say without a doubt that I couldnt inflict what I have experienced on another. Truely experiencing such things and then inflicting the same on others makes you a monster, especially when you can go painlessly.

Everyone experiences death, lording it over the young and people lucky enough to have avoided it doesnt exactly give a good view of your character.

Glass panel, huh? Then what I'd do is exhale on the glass and write on the condensation. Try to figure out how we got here, what their respective talents are, what we have on us, if we could use any of that to find a way out, etc.

And if nothing can be done, I have no idea what I would do. Maybe if we got to the topic of personal lives, they'd talk (or fabricate) about their family, their dreams, etc. If they make me feel sorry enough for them, I'd probably take my own life. I'm a very gullible person. It wouldn't take much to fool me.

As much as I value human life, I'd have to toast them. I'd have nightmares the rest of my life and I've probably need therapy, but I have a gf that I love and intend to marry and people who know and care about me. They're strangers. I'd feel bad about, I'd never be able to truly justify it, but that's what I'd do.

Now if it was ten people I knew, I'd press the button for myself in a heartbeat with no regrets. I would only ask that it's something a little faster than killing me with fire.

Oh, and I'd turn around, close my eyes, and cover my ears when I kill them with fire. It might not prevent me from hearing them, but it might help.

...Or I could just smash the speaker. Yep, that's what I'd do.

As much as I would like to say I would kill myself if I really were in that situation I don't think I would have the balls to press the suicide button. I would probably just press the fire button and kid myself that it was a dream.

Kill myself.

10 people > 1 person. I won't change the world, so I'd rather only one person dies than 10, plus I value other people's lives over my own...generally.

I'm not gonna lie, I'd save my life. I don't think I could kill myself, but I'd feel like shit for the rest of my life.
