I usually reload whenever I don't have a full magazine, but only if it's safe. It'd be pretty stupid to reload with more enemies shooting at you...

Depends on the situation...

This following text is based off of Cod4 by the way..

In most cases, you have to realize that usually you will find yourself in a hot zone... Which is when the action is high and both teams are hitting each other very hard in a given area of the map to try to push the other back...

In times like this, I only reload when I'm forced too... Meaning I emptied my main AND my pistol, and found any upcoming enemies out of reach for the knife... I've found myself ready to launch a chopper with this method the moment I either get away, die, or we succeeded in the push and the enemies are making their way back for another round, by that point I'm fully reloaded and ready to greet them in the challenge... Once I'm fully out of bullets and don't see any knife victims, I'm out of there! I retreat for a moment, reload everything and continue the push.

However if we fail in the push, I'll immediately retreat to an area we have dominated to keep my k/d low, reload when I feel it's safe, and take my hand at flanking the opponent to try to help the team regain lost ground. Either that or if I'm on LMG I'll find a good choke point and defend what we still have while the others make their push.

If by chance I find a few enemies in our zone trying to flank or whatever... I usually feel it's safe to reload the moment I send them back to their own side.

This method and a few other tricks I've picked up along the way have kept my k/d ratio in the area that others are quick to call BS!!!

[small]No this isn't bragging, it's an example to help others in their playing of the game. I could post some end round results once I head down to the house this weekend if anyone is truly interest..[/small]

I'm a total Reloadaholic. Even after one pathetic bullet fired off, it will bother me to no end unless I reload.

When it's safe. If it happens to be safe right after a kill, then so be it. I prefer having a full clip to take on what's coming.

annoying as hell when there is an enemy behind you that you didnt see until after you started reloading.
This. Its especially awful in CoD when using the Scar-H. That gun is awesome, but has such a small mag. I've gotta get the Extended Mags back...
Same with Scar-H you need scavenger and extended on or you will run out of bullets too fast, same thing happens when Im running around with a P90 with rapid fire, I lose so much bullets killing 1 or 2 people by spraying I need to reload and there is someone right next to me usually on maps like Highrise.

When it's safe. I have to know that no one is in front of me, coming from behind, or trying to flank me. If no one's there, then I'll reload and move on. If I were to do it after a kill, someone could come in from behind or a flank and take me out during that crucial moment.

I reload when I run out of ammo, or when I remember, which isn't very often, which is also why often I end up reloading when I run out of ammo...usually after I use the last two shots in the magazine and I'm backing away from something trying to kill me.

Alright Escapist, when do YOU reload?

Personally, I'm in the habit of reloading after every kill, mainly because I like having a full clip. But also because of paranoia that I'll get caught with my pants down, reloading in the middle of a shoot-out.
Same here. I might be wielding a 100 round machine gun but if I use one round I automatically reload JUST IN CASE I might need that extra round. It's gotten me killed more than once

How the hell do you run out of bullets in the P90? You have like 300 to start with. Do you spend 100 bullets on each kill?

I forget sometimes and end up being forced to reload, other times I reload after each kill or when it flashes up at the bottom.

Only when its safe or I just pick up another gun, depending on the situation. I know how many bullets I need or if the reloading is not necessary. I have no reloading problems or bad habits.

The P90 is one of the fastest guns in t MW2 (I'm assuming that we're talking about MW2) and he did say spraying.

I automatically try to reload after every kill, but I don't think it looks very cool. What I try to do is use the exact amount of ammunition for all the bad guys in the area, so I only have to reload once everyone is down. I often waste ammo on purpose, just for the sake of corpse bashing. It is like in the Alien movies, were people will fire 30 bullets into one Alien.

After a kill. After all, I like to feel like I'm multitasking while teabagging a corpse.

If I use MW2 as an example I will reload after every kill. If I run into enemies while reloading then I will double tap Y to get my weapon out again and continue shooting.
