Yep.captain wow said:I hate when great bands like radiohead jump the shark like that. The worst thing is it ruins their great early stuff.miracleofsound said:Radiohead have dissappeared completely up thier own collective asshole in recent years.
That's more of an opinion than a fact.captain wow said:Get your facts straight dude, Zeppelin weren't really the pioneers of metal, Black Sabbath were!! Zeppelin were ROCK!! Bluesey, folksey ROCK!.Aws said:I think it's cause they're one of the pioneers of heavy metal.egwidalin said:I know for a fact im going to get a lot of criticism here, but me and my friend cannot figure out why the band Led Zeppelin is as big as they are. They wrote good music, yes. But to us it doesnt seem like they did anything out of the ordinary. They're good, but overrated.
At the time their music was unique in the music industry.
Not as good as the Who though...
They actually were pretty good at one time. They have since been infected with the post-90s suck virus.Simalacrum said:Green Day.
Just... just no... their too fake-happy
What? I just explained why I don't like Nirvana ffs. "While I don't hate the music of the likes of Nirvana and Sonic Youth, I hate them for what they stand for." As I said, Nirvana stand for being melodramatic, they introduced Grohl to the world and they were the first band to have fanboys. Whining little things that bleed out of their collective vagina any time anyone says anything negative about them. They made some good tunes though. Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle for example.Squarez said:You say you hated the band on principle, but as you just said, Kurt "was" the band, so by saying that you're arguments about Grohl and Love are irrelevant. So you must by your own admission hate Kurt Cobain "on principle" which confuses me.Phoenix Arrow said:It makes perfect sense. While I don't hate the music of the likes of Nirvana and Sonic Youth, I hate them for what they stand for. Sonic Youth for totally undermining the riot grrrl movement and everything it stood for, and Nirvana because of the members. Both individually and as a whole. The band was Kurt Cobain, let's not piss around the bush. Dave Grohl doesn't recognise this and thinks he has some kind of god given right to be a dick because Kurt picked him out of a lineup to play the drums in his band. He has no talent and Courtney Love had more input into Nirvana than he did. Kurt Cobain was bareable, if only just, but the second he shot himself (AND YES HE DID SHOOT HIMSELF) it was like every Nirvana fan took leave of their senses and blamed everyone but Kurt for his death because he was the second coming and anyone who doesn't agree is clearly an idiot. He was fucking depressed, let it go.SonicKoala said:How do you hate a band "on principle"? That doesn't even make sense, that just sounds like you're hating something just for the sake of hating it.Phoenix Arrow said:Snip
U2 nearly bankrupted themselves at the end of the 80's keeping ticket prices down and donating to charities, and Bono still has power to bring peace to places when "legitimate" world leaders fail, which he has done several times.rockingnic said:Jonas Brothers, Green Day, U2 (just because of Bono's egotistical @$$), and Fallout Boy. They just suck the enjoyment out of music.
Not a U2 fan myself, but I gotta say that Kanye West deserves more ire for his ego then anyone else in like...the world.funguy2121 said:U2 nearly bankrupted themselves at the end of the 80's keeping ticket prices down and donating to charities, and Bono still has power to bring peace to places when "legitimate" world leaders fail, which he has done several times.rockingnic said:Jonas Brothers, Green Day, U2 (just because of Bono's egotistical @$$), and Fallout Boy. But hey, if you're a musician and you try to make the world a better place, there's always gonna be idiots who call you self-righteous for it.
Sigh.
Too right, they're talented kids but the whole purity ring thing is stupid. It's a good Christian symbol but they're using it to sell records.Marksman18v said:Jonas Brothers and everything related to the goresucking braindraining pre-teen leech-child High school musical.

You need to hear Aenema, everything off that album is good. The newer stuff is also good but not nearly as good as Aenema. I didn't like them at first either.captainkrunch said:Tool, i don't see the attraction nearly every person i know looks up to tool like they are godly and ive been forced to listen to MANY of their songs and i haven't found 1 song that doesn't sound bland boring and lifeless
Tell 'em, Moby!MorsePacific said:Nickelback, Linkin Park, Panic at the Disco, Green Day, Lil' Wayne, or just about anything played on the radio these days. Christian rock sells for some reason, and also those guys seem make VAlerie GINAstri's "business" all soft and tingly <_<Giovanto said:Too right, they're talented kids but the whole purity ring thing is stupid.
