Half-Life 2 and Bioshock. They are good games, but not the best games ever made.

Mario games. It's like I'm playing the same thing over and over again. Not to mention they're all boring. Every other Nintendo franchise is far better.

Uncharted series, resistance series, killzone 2 may make me look like a anti Sony fanboy but by god they are awful games

For me its Half-Life 2.

I played enjoyed the game but I never understand why people praise the game so damn much.

It was great but not 'the best ever'.
Same here. Although part of the reason why I didn't find the game AMAZING is that I went into it with the expectations that people told me to go into it with. (i.e. This game heralds the second coming)

Overall impression of HL2 was a resounding, but positive "meh."

It's gotta be Halo for me. not just Halo, but 2, 3 and all the spin offs. I just can't see what is so popular about it, but then again, 13 year olds are attracted by bright colours, hence the most retarded armor in the history of the military was born.
Since when has green NOT been the standard colour of military uniforms? (most camouflage is green, since most places have green environments, including Halo)
Personally I don't understand how people like CoD. The games have been getting progressively worse since CoD 3, yet are selling progressively more.

Hmm... Bioshock.

It's a fundamentally broken game, wedged-between two genres with the strengths of neither.
It's redeeming factors are it's voice work and writing, but saying that makes it really sound like it would've made a better movie than a game.

I agree with OP to an extent. Fable 2 was just... awful. What a massive let down. But Fable was one of my favourite games back in the day

OT: Half-Life 2. I have tried twice to try and understand everyone's love for this game. I love RPGs, I love FPS', I love sandbox games and so on but even with my massive curiosity about games I've not tried out, I cannot see why everyone loves it so much. I did not like the storytelling mechanics and had no idea what was going on at all ever. I found the gameplay dull and lifeless and the environments beyond bland and dull. I'm sorry, HL lovers, but it just goes right over my head

Obvious troll is obvious.

Someone with a different opinion than you? Obviously a troll!

[sub]Note to mods, that was a joke, and I'm sure Dazburger is a fine person...[/sub]

Madden. Maybe because Football is a horrible spectator sport, and maybe because there are new versions every year that make people feel the need to re buy it, but I don't know, I don't get it.

There is a COD 6? o.o
LOL people don't like typing/saying Modern Warfare 2
Nope they type 4:2 like normal people would, else you might as well start calling the half life episodes for half life 3 and 4.... and the upcoming one half life 5(not counting the expansions for the first game)

Modern Warfare, Mass Effect, and Morrowind.

I find the former to be dull, and the latter two to be horribly broken.

Uncharted. It's like Mass Effect and Gears of War, but you're always alone, with no ammo for anything but your pistol, and have to listen to Nolan North.

Yes it it, but it does it well. Thats the funny part, we who like cod 6 will never argue that it isn't generic, we just like to play it because it is a fairly decent modern fps, with a fun, if laggy, multiplayer.
6 as in MW2?

Uh no, I've heard people argue against that. Although I use the term "people" loosely...

The Total War games.

When I play them, I just feel...lost. I just don't know what to do. I've enjoyed games such as Civilization 4, but this just didn't catch me.

It probably just because I suck at it.
Im kinda the oppisote i love total war but got lost in civilazation. It felt slow and years passed by too fast for me

MW2 for me, played it and got on with it for a while but really couldn't understand what the massive fuss was over.

Metal gear solid series.

Also Crackdown, I just couldn't get into it, the controls felt clunky.
Crackdown 2 on the other hand (atleast the demo) has been pretty fun, perhaps only having an SDTV at the time is what ruined my enjoyment of crackdown.
