"Lag is only on the PC, dudewat
I thought it was pretty obvious that due to not everybody having a insanely good gaming rig it caused the pc version to lag alot even if they had a decent internet connection. The console however is solely dependent on their internet connection. And really its pretty hard to find a slow internet provider these days and with the auto finding of new hosts its extremely rare that a laggy host will last an entire game.
Low FPS count is not Lag, lag is network latency. and as yu can change things called resolution and graphics option on the PC, all it takes to eliminate the Low FPS count is about 5 seconds of tweaking things down. Not that consoles ever run at anything other than what i would consider minimum setting :p

Gears of War: so generic it's not funny.
The FF series: Wow pretty cuts scenes... can i have a game too please?
RTS games such as Starcraft or Command and Conquer: To rush or not to rush... oh wait rush.

It's gotta be Halo for me. not just Halo, but 2, 3 and all the spin offs. I just can't see what is so popular about it, but then again, 13 year olds are attracted by bright colours, hence the most retarded armor in the history of the military was born.
MW2 and Halo are on the high sales they are on only because of the multiplayer. It is not balanced multiplayer, Halo 3 has some very fast vechiles that can be extremely frustrating to try to take out without tracking ability of a hawk, and MW2... well... snipers, noobtubes (without penalty), air support, nukes... take your pick. However, both of them are popular because how much it rewards the player for the kills. In halo, rising through the level means new fancy armor you get to show off, in MW2, every kill gives you points. Doesn't matter how skilled the kill was, 5 points in most mode per kill. Since these points go to new fancy weapons and perks, people want them all. Once you gotten them all? You get to do that all over again just for one symbol next to your name.
snipers beeing a problem in mw2? : p wow, never taught of those beeing a problem. anyways letting someone get a nuke is also bad playing from your side, geting 25 kills without many airsupport kills is kinda hard to do, and the airsuport is not really OP since you can just about shoot down anything in 1 life.. noobtubes is a huge pain though and should be removed. also IW made a new gametype now named barebones where there are no killstreaks, so that is good if your bothered by killstreaks, still there would be the problem of noobtubing there.. MW2 is far from using it's full potential of how good a game it could be, IW made alot of wrong turns.

I got a few that fit this category.

Ill start with the one no one mentioned yet, Fallout 3 I tried playing this game twice and got so incredibly bored of it within the first couple hours it felt so empty and devoid of anything to do.

Mass Effect just way too much talking not enough shooting aliens it really blows my mind how you can make a space shooter boring but bioware pulled it off

Bioshock because any atmosphere they attempted to create was broken with a sickening crack when I realised there is absolutely no consequence to death at all the enemies dont regenrate and the vita chambers are every even if you turn it off it just replaces vita chamber with quick save.

Valve and Bethesda games. This site loves them, I don't. I don't understand how you people are swooned so badly by these games.

I just can't play 3 games(or series):

Call of Duty
Bioshock
Fallout 3

I had very high hopes for Fallout 3 and it turned out terrible. All of the Call of Duty games are the same and none of them appeal to me and I can't find words to describe how bad they are. And Bioshock was just boring with bad gameplay.

Oh, and while Half-Life and it's sequels are okay, they are nowhere near as 'amazing' as they are made out to be.

Halo, returned the first game for the pc after playing for like 1-2 hours and only played Halo 3 co-op with a friend when I just got my xbox360
Half Life 2, got bored in the first hour or so where all I did was run away.
Oblivion, completed the story line and some side-quests but can't see how people can put like 100+ hours into this.
Fallout 3, oblivion with guns.
Modern Warfare 2, generic shooter.
Bad Company 2, generic shooter.

Probably more, but those are all I can think of right now.

One shot one kill on any part of the body with stopping power for the Intervention or Barette, or completely silenced two shot anywhere with low recoil snipers with the other two snipers with Cold blooded plus a silencer? That sounds balanced.

Thats funny, cause those are some of my favorite games. No disrespect though, i respect your opinion. I do hate modern warfare 2, that just ruined everything with that.

i hate ocarina of time.

it's average at best but is treated as the best game ever.

and okami sits in a bargain bin, with no appreciation.

:'C
But think about it, the game came out in the 1990s when 3D games were still new. It was really good back then, and it set the standards for 3D adventure games.

When i just had a ps3 my friends bragged about fable 1 and 2. I finally got a 360 and started playing popular xbox games and most met my expectations but then came fable. People talked about how immersive and large andfun this game was. This in my opinion is one of the worst RPGs ever designed. I loved lionhearts work in black and white but this game is pure trash. It holds no depth fighting is boring and my character has a quick ageing problem.

Thats the first fable however then on to fable 2 which i bought for $5 dolars. Allthough the story and general game is improved it is still bad. The games pretty easy it wasnt until halfway through the game that i died thats when i figured out that If you die there is no consquence other than a scar so why bother trying if youll always win.My character looks wierd for some reason no matter what clothes i give him he always looks wierd. Ai is broken One minute a girl loves me the next she is shooting me for robbing a house as part of a mission. Its just so easy to do anything except for money well until you reach the arena.

Point being is there a game you cant understand why is so popular?

(actualy play the game dont just hate)

I know what you mean with fable (i've only played the second one so can't comment on the first) It does have issues and isn't as deep or immersive as some other games, however, I really like it. Yes, it's easy, and not even that long for an rpg and the world isn't too big but thats what i like. I understand there are some Ai issues but they still don't bother me as I think it is a good game (not fantastic but quote good)

OT: Oblivion, I have tried to play that game several times and each time just got bored with it, and everyone seems to go on about it like it's the best game that's ever been

Guitar Hero. I just don't see the appeal of pushing buttons when your told to. It's like one long quick time event.
Especially when you could be playing an actual guitar.
Frankly, this is one of those arguments that tire me like no other. Yes, we all know playing an actual instrument is more rewarding, but to say it like that just seems arrogant to me. It's almost like telling someone who likes racing games to learn how to drive a car. Now, learning how to drive has greater benefits, but not everyone can. Sometimes they don't have the time, the money or they're just too young to learn.

I know where you're coming from, though. I play the guitar myself. Granted, I haven't touched in almost a year, because I had to leave it back in Texas. I know my analogy wasn't spot on, but it was the best I could think of. Now, if those people don't want to learn how to play the guitar, fine, no need to get mad at them or think any less of them. If they want to learn how to play, that's great too.

Halo.
It's so bland and simple. It's like playing an outdated PC shooter like Serious Sam or Duke Nukem 3D but without the Humor, fun or originality.
They have a giant intergalactic conflict and they managed to make it bland and uninteresting. I think they deserve points for that.
The gameplay is bad, too. The guns feel like pea shooters and killing the covenant is as satisfying as watching paint dry.
Plus the guns' "pew pew pew" sound effects and bright colors make it look like some sort of childish fantasy that tries to be taken seriously.

Or maybe they just like the series. Seriously, can't people have an opinion?

And no, I'm not a Halo fanboy, I hate shooters.
