There's this on-line game my buddies play called League of Legends , I can't stand that game.
Another example for me would be Diablo. Both games, to me, aren't enjoyable.

It's gotta be Halo for me. not just Halo, but 2, 3 and all the spin offs. I just can't see what is so popular about it, but then again, 13 year olds are attracted by bright colours, hence the most retarded armor in the history of the military was born.
I agree. Halo was fun to play, and i even got into 2 a little bit. But the fangirls were like the Twilight fans. Maybe worse. I also agree with the whole age thing. There's nothing more rewarding to a kid than to feel like an adult, and nothing makes that happen more than 'violence you're not supposed to see' type of games and shooters. Its hard to say a system is not 'kiddy' when they appeal exactly to childlike minds. However, I'm gonna have to go with WoW. mah-mor-pah-gers are like giant graphical chatrooms, with the actual 'game' part just a way to say 'hey, i'm better than you.' It's not to say it isn't fun, as i'm sure it is, but the popularity is nutz.

That, exactly that.

For me, I'd have to say I don't get the GTA series of games, or the Final Fantasy series. I don't think the games are all their hyped up to be, although admittedly I did have a love for Final Fantasy X...

The Half-Life series and Portal.

Portal was just.....bland. It seemed like they made a whole 19 levels out of something that would in most cases be passed of as a feature, the story-telling was a bit lazy as most of the little information you got was when you were in the elevator (a.k.a the loading screen) and i know that the wall-scribblings were supposed to be an example of MASTER-STORYTELLING but really, it did not provide ANY new information in regards to the story (except spawn one of the most irritating meme in history).

Half-Life 2 was a game that was touted as being the "thinking man's shooter" because of the fuck easy and often times nonsensical puzzles. The environment was well detailed but sadly limited, with invisible barriers blocking what seems to be a sensible path-way and brick doors, potential wasted. Combat was standard and the gravity gun was the only thing that stood out.

Halo 3. I haven't played it online so perhaps I'm missing something from the playing experience.

I say this because I had played numerous FPS's on the PC. I can understand that Halo was/is revolutionary for consoles, but from my perspective I found it pretty boring (unless in co-op) and generic.

I'm not trolling, I'm just stating my opinion :)

I would probably have a much favourable viewpoint if I wasn't such an avid FPS player on the PC before playing.

Another game would be ME2. I like it, but I just can't stand playing it for too long. I could play the original for hours on end.
Ha, that's funny. ME2 is the only game I have full achievements on, I loved the first one, but the second was balls out awesome, and I could easily sit down and finish it again.

That's not such a bad idea, actually...
I know! I was anticipating it so much. I think it might of been trolls on the Bioware forums putting spoilers in Topic names (mostly about the ending) which spoiled the game before I even had it.

However I also believe it is because Bioware said you are going after the collectors. And thats exactly what you do. The first one said "Stop Saren" but there were bits and pieces here and there you didn't know, and there were a few twists and turns in the story. I knew that in ME2 I would need everyone's loyalty and lots of tech to get through the mission somewhat successfully. I don't know. I like it but meh...I just can't put my finger on it.

Morrowind
And I am really, really sorry for this one. I started a new game several times but didn't get it. Heck, I even started an Escapist thread named "Getting into Morrowind". I'm just not meant to play open world games. :(

and "Dragon Age"
Can't understand why it's supposed to be such a masterpiece. I don't like the world the game takes place in (for me it resembles a mediocre rip off of the Lord of the Rings movies) and the story is... very generic. Nothing BioWare hasn't done already.

Half Life 2. Nothing about it stands out to me. I don't care if it was the first game to do the "gravity gun" gimmick, the damn thing was next to useless bar the puzzles they obviously shoehorned in now and again to make use of it.

CoD and MW games. They are so same-y and the game-play is so repetitive. Also the scenery is dull and boring and re-used to hell.

Gears of War, Final Fantasy, Mirror's Edge....I could go on but the thing I don't "understand" is how these threads keep getting made. Everyone has different opinions, the only thing these threads do is make people flame and rage. Fail thread is fail.

TF2. I dunno, something's missing. It's spawn, shoot people, kill people, die, spawn, shoot people, kill people, die... I love Counter-Strike and a few other online shooters, but TF2 doesn't do it for me.
