I suffer from motion sickness/seasickness on certain games, the older the game engine the worse, that why I don't go back and play many older games. Ginger pills can help. Also helps is taking a hours or more break when feeling it, then going back to playing, over a while you won't have that feeling.

From my understand it mainly happens to people with astigmatism.

I have never had that problem with gaming, but I get extreme motion sickness whenever I enter a car. My own car seems to be fine, ut I start to get dizzy and nauseaus in anybody else's.

The closest I've ever felt was a bit of vertigo when I jumped down from the broken bridge in Fable II.

For some reason, Super Mario Galaxy gave me a tinge of nausea when I first played it. I have no idea why.

And swimming in really deep bodies of water in games makes me feel dizzy.

The only game to make me feel ill while gaming.... Hard Reset I had to review it recently
http://www.invisioncommunity.co.uk/index.php/fps-shooters/hard-reset

The reason why was the insanly over the top spriting motion blur, but that however was only after drinking a fair amount. No idea why the devs would only use such heay handed motion blur for a spriting alone.

Borderlands does it to me a bit thanks to the narrow FoV... also Zombie Driver can get to to me after awhile, especially on the higher speed maps.

I've had similar thing with HL2, seems like the source engine might be the common cause? :S

Half Life 2.

Whenever I had to use the flashlight.

Ravenholm was nightmarish for whole other reasons.

Fallout 3 made me a little dizzy for some reason.

DeathSpank also gave me a bit of vertigo when i looked in the background and walked north or south.

By barfing do you mean throwing up/ vomiting? It's one of those phrases I've never understood.

And nope, cos I'm awesome that way! :D

I can't recall of any games making me feel the need to throw up or even gag. Though I did have to pause a YouTube video in the summer. I was watching a film called "Gates of Hell" and the infamous scene came on. I'll warn you now; if you're squeamish, don't say I didn't warn you:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_rmlG8vGpQ

It's the noises; the frothy, red toothpaste (I know it's not but that's what it looks like!) and... yeesh! I legit gagged, covered my mouth and had to pause it. Anyroad, I really can't think of a game that had the same or similar effects at the top of my head right now but I'm almost certain it has happened at one point, haha. Shadowman may have started to make me feel a wee bit queasy though for some strange reason. I am finding all the skinned corpses in "Dead Island" so far a bit gross, mind you. I haven't even bumped into the Butchers yet. Eugh.

I experience "simulator sickness" with just about any old-school FPS that manipulates 2D textures to simulate 3D, like Wolfenstein 3D or Doom. I'm fine for the first half hour or so, but after that I have to take a break or else I start feeling nauseous. Apparently lots of other people suffer from this as well, as it's been given the unofficial name "Doom-Induced Motion Sickness" (DIMS).

Crysis' motion blur had me a little disoriented at times, but i think it is due to my eyes not focusing as quickly as they should, or it was the whiskey.
Solution...more whiskey.

The only time I've ever gotten motion sickness was when I tried playing Descent (a cookie for everyone who knows it) on my laptop while riding in a car.

Jedi Outcast made me dizzy and even nauseous pretty quickly when I first played it. Turning on vsync (of all things) eliminated the problem there. But Portal doing this to me? Nah.

Both Bioshocks and Bad Company 2 made me dizzy through the lower non-widescreen FOV, but I was able to modify them in the end :3

Portal though... I've never had any issues with it.
