Its Antarctica, it stays a pretty constant temperature of below freezing I believe. So when they freeze they don't defrost.
Only two temps down there from 'So this is what hell looks like frozen over' to 'I need to piss but my bladder has frozen'.

I knew it would happen to them first.

Off to Antarctica!
No, to Madagascar, the virus won't make it there, it never does.
But you can only get there by boat and that is the first thing they shut down

... Great, the guy's a dead man.
As for the two officers bitten, I sure hope someone figures out they need a rabies shot in the next few hours, unless Melbourne CBD have a liking for burying their own.

The thing that worries me is if they go to work and infect the rest of the police, that's going to seriously hinder fighting the zombie outbreak.

On a serious note some people have survived being rabid, if they are sedated early and given fluids, the body after enough time fights off the virus.

We can't let it spread!

Knowing Australia, it'll spawn a new breed of poison-zombies.

(And I'm contemplating living there...)

Well, yes, it's been known to happen, but those cases are a ridiculously small minority, and it's always better to be safe than sorry; if someone who's been infected gets a shot before fever and the bouts of uncontrollable rage set in, the recovery rate is almost 100%.

Eh, Australia is the best place for Zombie break out.

It's an island =p

The rest of the world are perfectly safe... BUT FOR HOW LONG?
What if there are swimming spider-zombies... D:
That would suck

They can climb things, swim, and are really small....

I think the important issue here is, if Australia is wiped out by it's own localized zombie apocalypse, can the rest of us go back to using it as a dumping ground for prisoners?
That would make a good T.v show or movie, having a bunch of prisoners rushing around Australia avoiding zombies.

The way I read it, it was a ridiculously small minority because they rarely get a chance to enact the right protocols early enough, of the people they used this treatment on roughly 50% survived.

But of course the immediate response should be the vaccination .

I was just raising that point because if zombies did exist I'd be curious what would happen if you restrained one just before it turned and administered similar protocols, making sure it did no fatal harm to itself. Of course I'd never do this, because as we know this is how the larger outbreak sometime occurs in movies.

Oh my god.

Better get the shotgun and hole down in the basement!

Anyway, no ones safe, sooner or later the super evolved zombies will learn to swim.

But wait!
Look at the caller ID, the call was coming from inside Madagascar all along!

Yeah well if he was a zombie it would appear that the police have arrested him and dealt with him appropriatley.
