Hmmm.... upload a virus to their robonet. And then break out some guns. And tanks.
How would you program a virus designed to interact with their complex AI, how would you get it into their network and where would you get the guns and tanks?
We have the technology. After all, we made them.

Really though, any robot society that is intent on killing humans is absolutely stupid. Instead of killing them you should turn them into your maintenance slaves.

Killbot 5000: GRAWR KILL KILL KILL! *eats a bus*
Me: *sighs, then calls 911* Hello, police? Yes, it seems that there is some sort of robot running amuck in the streets. Could you activate its fail-safe please?
Police: We'll get right on that. *Gets in contact with people who built robot, tells them to activate fail-safe, robot powers down*

Done. Any robots likely to rebel are sure to have fail-safes put into them, whether they be military or private machines.

Actually when you think about it the military would avoid these failsafes as if they fell into enemy hands the enemy could render their entire killbot squad worthless.

Oh. Well then I guess I just have a spy sap them.

It's quite simple. I would use the internet to find the world's biggest magnet, then I would go there. The robots would be helpless, as the magnet wouldsimply suck them up, and they would start singing "Jimmy cracked corn and I don't care"

Assuming they were made of a non-magnetic alloy, I would simply sit at the top of a large hill with my human brethren and a bunch of machine guns. They would be fighting an uphill battle... quite literally.

If there ever was a robot uprising it would most likely be the result of Microsoft's plan for world domination. In which case all we would have to do is get the security password for the central server wrong a few times and the system will fuck itelf up from there.

Depending on the nature of the A.I. in question, I would either:

1. In the event of a "hive-mind" setup: Ask them "One question: What do you intend to do once all humans/organic life is dead?" then just push them over while they all simultaneously think about it.

2. In the event of individual computers acting as a nation: Upload my brain into a supercomputer/android body (If we have that tech by then, which we should) and plead neutrality, or (If I am unable to upload my brain) hide in my crazy grandfather's bunker in the Texas panhandle till either or both sides have been destroyed, or longer.

I would charge my laser.
I would fire my laser.
I would yell something phonetic.
I would be victorious.

In all seriousness, Yeah. Giant Lasers cant go wrong

Duct-tape a virtual-boy to its head with a specially made game that changes the position of a target in order to make the killbot chase after it. This will steer it.
Then, when I have about a dozen of them, I'll put them to work as my sled-dogs and bring radio-active joy to the world with my particle cannon.

Thats what I would say to them, and yes that is real code, each line is a word.
But what if they do?
that might hurt...

Move low and fast, doing what I can to survive until I find the wrecked frame of one of the big ones.

I will take it to the nearest resistance base and we will modify it to resemble the venerable Zaku II, use it to strike down others, and slowly build our army of Zaku II expys until we have a large enough force to retake the state of Illinois, which we will use as a staging ground for our attack on the logical nerve center of the machine's construction: Detroit, Michigan. Because as we all know, any AI that causes a machine uprising will of course be American and as such have several major facilities in the US and Canada.

Once we take Detroit, we will continue assembling our own giant death machines, and use the facilities used to make human-sized hunter-killers and aerodrones to assemble powered armor and fighter aircraft, and slowly take back North America, destroying as many of its regional oppression and command centers as we can. Once the Americas is liberated, we'll cross the Bering Straight, link up with Russian resistance, lead by genetically engineered ex-Spetsnaz bear-men who were created as a form of torture by the machines. We will then begin plans to retake the rest of Asia foot by foot, and following that, Europe and then Africa, before amassing our forces in various, seemingly random locations to launch an attack on the Machine Super City in Antarctica.

That's pending they don't just nuke the hell out of us in the first place.

Anyone who had read the Pendragon series knows what 4foot long electrical staffs I would be using.
You make a very good point, but not all of us are trained in 4' long electrified staff warfare.

*automated womans voice* "Activating EMP" (pronounced EMP, not E.M.P), cookie for the awesome reference.
The last episode of Red vs Blue Reconstruction. Great series. My cookie!

Joking aside, most of the good plans have already been done. I rather like the idea of building a city underground, like in the Matrix. Advanced enough machines (I say machines, not robots) would be unaffected by an E.M.P., if not the masses then the central "brain" would be. I would set out to destroy all sources of power to the machines, shutting off power to the source would disorganize them and then the individual machines could be deal with on a find-shoot-kill basis.

Stop doing Wall of Bit posts, and learn some grammar!

Zombie Apocalypse I would manage, but robots? I'd just die.

Step 1. Run
Step 2. Run faster.

Basically I know it's a very weak strategy, but really what can you do against robots? They don't sleep (neither do zombies I guess, but robots are faster and can shoot compared to zombies). It certainly wouldn't be like Terminator anyway, humanity clearly stood no chance against those caliber of robots.

Point a water hose at the thing? Press ctrl-alt-delete? Exploit the latest unpatched Windows security issue? Distract it with a Tamagotchi?
