No, they were actually really boring. The gameplay itself. Mass effect and DA:O had wonderful storylines (from what I've heard), but the gameplay, although good, was just far too repetitive in DA:O's case, and just not satisfying in Mass Effect's.
I found that the PC version of DA:O was much better than the console version. I'm a tactics freak, though.

Section 8; I got in on clearance for 6 bucks, and between the obnoxiously buggy install, lackluster gameplay, and aggressively short playtime, I suddenly realized the 6 bucks I payed for Saints Row II was infinitely more well-spent. At least in that one I could get to a high place and jump off, which is more than I can say for a game full of space marines with jet packs.

Mass Effect.

Boring. Just so boring. Couldn't bring myself to play beyond the first level.

Oh Thank God...

I bought the 360 version of Mass Effect on a whim. I figured that since everyone seems to consider it the greatest game ever released in terms of interactive storytelling, it couldn't be that bad (a lesson I apparently failed to learn from Fallout 3). I've played through the first Chapter, and I'm completely unimpressed. The menu's are really unintuitive, the combat is boring and repetitive, there are some really bad technical problems, the human models are just down right ugly, and the conversation system is really shallow.

I really don't see what all the hype is about...
You bought the game on 360.
i played it first on pc and loved it. a year later out of curiousity I then bought it for cheap on 360. I hated it. mass effect on the 360 really is a glitchy clusterfuck mess of epic proportions. The PC version is always superiour.
Don't believe me? Hmm... Fable, Halo, Half-life 2, Knights of the old republic, Jade Empire, Dragon age, etc... see?

Borderlands!
I rented it and thought it was pretty fun...then I bought it, popped it in the PS3 and face-palmed...It isn't a bad game...it's just...lacking.

Fable II... I felt obligated to play it since Fable III was coming out soon, yet it's collecting dust at this very moment. I didn't even get that New Game Feeling after buying it.

What was even worse was that this was just before it was free for a while on Xbox Live dammit.

Medal of Honor a couple weeks ago. Terrible purchase
Yeah I somewhat agree. I haven't played that game in at least two weeks.

I bought them at the same time. They were bloody cheap and I had heard lots of praise for them, so I thought it would be worth it.

Probably beating a dead horse here, although I can understand your dislike for Diablo, D2 and DA:O. All three were really similar so it's understandable that if you didn't like one, you wouldn't like the other two.

What gets me is the elephant in the room: Mass Effect. Each to their own I guess, but it's very different to the other three.

Baldur's Gate 2. With (1 or both expansions, probably both not sure) for 20 euro's.

Deinstalled it within 5 minutes <_<
Managed to sell it on ebay a few months ago.. half the money I got for it was spent sending it :(.
Baldur's Gate 2 had a second expansion? :(

I guess I missed it.
I got confused.. Baldur's Gate 2 had a subname.

So there is BG2: Shadows of Amn and BG2: Throne of Bhaal.
So there is only 1 expansion and 1 confused gamer.

I bought Stranglehold, owned it for about a year without even cracking open the box, and then sold it. Well....at least I only lost about 5 bucks

Fallout 3.

It was technically a birthday present and after playing for an hour I immediately realized I hated the setting and atmosphere :( (Welcome, Wastelander, to the world of INFINITE GRAYS AND BROWNS!!)

Felt so bad for making my parents buy me it.
So you didn't like it because it was Gray and Brown.

I don't like vegetables but I eat them anyway.
But it's an RPG. You spend the ENTIRE GAME walking around in nothing but different shades of gray and brown. You kill monsters that are gray and brown. You talk to people who are gray and brown. I didn't make me want to explore it, because it's all the same.

That, and V.A.T.S sucks. Why would you aim for anything other than the head? It's skilless.

You know, I don't think I can come up with a single one. While there certainly has been many purchases that I regretted after a while, there hasn't been any I regretted right away.

My iMac, after I realized that that I just pared an extra $1000 for shiny-ness.
This is also my most quickly regretted purchase. It didn't even come with a decent keyboard or mouse. As for games it's Borderlands! For being nothing but a boring grind! With no story, and a stupidly tedious final boss!
