But that's a bit of a dick move to people who have genuinely bad connections. It should count as a draw at the least.
While that would be unfair, I like it. It's a penalty that should be enforced.

I've made somone rage quit before during a LAN. I was kicking his ass on pretty much every game and he would go "I'm getting bored, lets play something else" after slamming his keyboard around some >.< His facial expressions was pretty funny as I kicked his ass up and down the maps :p

I rage quit all the time, but it's never to deny someone a victory, I'll rage quit if I die a lot in some match.

People who deny someone a victory are just pathetic and should stop playing online games.

I only quit if the LAG is unbelievably gay and or if someone's cheating like hell. Otherwise no I never leave regardless of for example how much matchmaking has failed to make matches of skill levels in games. Also if something comes up like have to go to work or something in real life then I make sure I got time before I start finding a match.

TBH I prefer making people rage quit, its fun :)
LOL, you are seriously diabolical.
Although I did the same thing on MW2.
Got a few UAV's and the other team almost all at the same time yells "WALLHACKER!!!!!!" and proceeded to ragequit en masse, leaving me and my team against, well, air.

Good fun though.

I quit when I'm losing badly but usually between matches. I have Barbaqueq to prove that I quiet possible made someone quit but I doubt if I actually really have anywhere along the way, I just suck too much.

I've never actually rage quit a game. I have modified my tactics to try to elicit the most painful response to the offending player however.

Well, today in Battlefield 2 (Yes I still play) I was waiting for a helicopter. I accidentally knifed my teammate since I didn't think friendly fire was on, and the server even said it wasn't. Anyway, I apologized via chat, and then I got into the helicopter. The same guy who I accidentally killed started to pilot the helicopter, flying it into the water. I bailed out. He then started shooting me while I was in the water, and I was saying in the chat "HEY ITS ME! I'm on your team!" And he killed me. So what I did to ragequit was killed him three times with shots to the head with my sniper rifle (and a few more because my teammates revived him) then left the server.

It's perfect. Because they can't be any angrier, you just punched them in the face and left. It works wonders, and it's way better than your standard run of the mill ragequit...

I'm starting to think this story isn't too relevant.

I have the worst Arena team rating ever, so, no, I can't say that I've actually rage quit, though I thought about it quite a few times. It's that idea that you treat people the way you would want to be treated, and rage quitting like a pansy ass just to deny someone a victory is a cheap way to go about things.

I rage wuite, but never to the extent that you showed in the video.

lets say some fool gets a ac-130 or a chopper gunner in MW2, then spawn kills my 3+ times in a row. Im gonna rage quite because that is just so fucking stupid and not fun that I cant play the game without anger.

I sold that game because of shit like that, now I play TF2 where you cant be spawn killed
You haven't been spawn camped by Demomen ever? You're doing it wrong!

Ragequitting is partly why I don't game with strangers.

I always fight to the bitter end, and a fumble is an opportunity to improve and learn. Frankly, I think habitual ragequitters should be marked so people know what they're getting into.

No but that story made me chuckle a lot. You had a reason at least.

I fight to the death! Even outnumbered in Red Faction: Guerrilla last night playing with my brother. 2 on 4, we both fought to the bitter end. Got owned hard but it's the principal of the matter. :D
That happened to me once in Halo 3. We won and we were accused of cheating. 2 vs 5 and my teammate and I cheated?

Rage Quit?

Never out of "anger". I've quit "mid-session" quite alot in a number of games, usually the ones which involve time investment.

Most notably, Cyanide's interpretation of Blood Bowl. The only way to reliably get a game (outside of a league)is to use the Ranked Match Maker system with all the turn limits set from 40sec all the way to 4minutes (for each player turn - when you play the game you realise that a 4min turn can take anywhere up to 15mins as the clock stops when your players are moving).

On numerous occassions I've quit mid-game (conceeding the match, giving the opponent an effective X to X+2 TouchDown victory, along with my earnings and the MVP award) during a 4minute game, normally against Dwarves. Not out of "Oh My God RAAAAAGE!" *disconnect*. But out of desperation of sitting staring at the player fumble around for ~15minutes a turn not really making any ground, only for me to make my moves in ~45secs and pass it back to him to fumble around for another extended period of time. I'd rather take the loss, and find someone to actually *play again* instead of reading the book that I keep on my desk to pass the time with.

In short? I'll "ragequit" (rather loose definition of "ragequitting" but I'll run with it meaning any "quit" before the end of the match/game) if I see that my time invested far outweighs the enjoyment I gain from the game. Time is precious, and I'd rather lose and enjoy it (in a reasonable time) than win really, really slowly and in a boring manner.
